Chapter 10

I woke up the next morning, feeling tired.
As I leaned to my side, I grabbed my phone and saw a missed call from my campus.
I quickly pushed myself up and pressed the call back option.
As the phone rang, a male voice picked up, "Hello?"
"Oh hi! This is Y/N. You guys called me earlier?"
"Ah yes. You haven't been completing much for your courses. Is everything okay?"
"Oh! Yes yes. Just took a little mental break. Sorry again.."
"Ah no no! It's fine, just a little check in."
"Okay! I'll be on today."
"Okay thank you!"

I sighed as I hung up, thank god I'm okay.
I hopped out of bed and walked to the bathroom.
I rubbed my face in the mirror and started to get myself ready.
Once finished, I walked back to my room and grabbed my laptop.

I signed into my classes and saw about 10+ notifications in my inbox.
I clicked on them and went to the missing assignments section and started to work through them.

(Time skip to when Y/N finished)
Finally. I'm done with school.
As I closed my laptop, I got a knock at the door.
I went out and answered the door and saw a boy standing there, his group of friends behind him.
He had dark brown hair and seemed a little nervous.
"Hi, can I help you?"
He cleared his throat.
"Y-Yes. Um, do you think you can h-help us?"
"Oh sure! What is it?"
"Well y-you see my fr-friends got invited to a-a party and we need so-someone to go with u-us."
I looked at him, he handed me a paper, which was an invitation to a party.
"Oh sure, is this the info?"
He nodded, "Y-Yeah."
"Well sure. I can come with you guys."
He smiled and I closed the door, reading the invitation.
Apparently it was starting at 8:00 tonight, I better plan out something good.

I went to my room and picked out a black dress, which was surprisingly really cute.
I grabbed some shoes and started to change into my outfit.
I got into my outfit and grabbed the invitation and slipped it into my bag.
I wanted to carry a small bag that had only the essentials, like the paper with info, napkins, perfume, etc.

I walked out, and saw the group of kids walk to my house down the road.
I ran to them and saw all their outfits, which looked really good.
The boys stared at me, while the only girl there smiled and went to me.
"Hey you look amazing! Oh and since he didn't, I'm gonna introduce you to us."
She pointed to all of them, "That's Eddie, Richie, Bill, Ben, Stanley, and that's Bill."
I waved and smiled, "I'm Y/N."
She smiled, "And I'm Beverly. Welcome."

The rest of us walked to the building the party was hosted.
As soon as we walked inside, music roared throughout the place.
There was food, drinks, and a lot to do.
Kids were everywhere, either talking, dancing, flirting, or sitting on their phones.
The group all scattered and did their own thing.
Only one stayed with me, and that was Stanley.
"Well they left us I'm guessing."
Stan looked around, "It's fine. They usually hang out in clusters. I'm okay with it."
We went over and sat on some nearby chairs.
"So, does this group have a name? Usually some friend groups do."
He sighed, "We're the Losers Club. At least that's what we've been used to being called."

I started to become curious at why this group of kids was so disliked.
"Is there a reason why you're disliked by nearly everyone? From what I've heard or seen you guys aren't that popular."
"Yeah. A lot of us have our own little problems. For Bill it's stuttering, Beverly it's the fact she's a girl, Ben's is because he's a little chubby, I'm religious, Eddie has anxiety, Mike's is because he's black, and Richie wears glasses and has feelings for Eddie."
I looked down, "Well if it helps you guys I have some weird things about me."
Stan looked at me, "Like what?"
"Well I sometimes forget things and can be easily distracted."
"So you're kinda like us in some ways."
"Yeah, say wanna get some drinks?"
Stan nodded and got up and went to the drink bar.
I sighed and grabbed my phone and looked at the time.
It was 8:17, just about time when the place started to get crowded.
