AsaNoya story: Nightmare

Noya [POV] 
I walked into the gym a bit earlier than everyone else but Asahi was there. He was laying on the ground, my heart skipped a beat but I realized he was asleep. I furrowed my eyebrows confused going over to him. He whimpered in his sleep shifting his position so he was on his side. I examined his face, his eyes were shut tightly his jaw clenched. Was he having a nightmare or something? I shook his shoulders gently my eyebrows furrowed. Asahi screamed and woke up sitting up quickly 

"Whoa Asahi are you alright?" I asked quickly "You were sleeping on the gym floor" 

"Noya.....," He started "yeah I'm fine it's......, just a nightmare" 

"What was it about?" I asked crossing my legs in front of me 

"I don't want to talk about it" he insisted looking away. I noticed the bags under his eyes 

"But why were you sleeping on the gym floor I can't imagine it would be very comfortable" I commented 

"I got here early and accidentally fell asleep" He explained nervously scratching at the back of his neck "I haven't been sleeping well" 

"I see that you've got bags under your eyes" I commented 

"Do I?" He asked rubbing his eyes with a yawn 

"It looks like you haven't slept in months" 

"Oh..," he stood up slowly as everyone else started to filter into the gym. Once everyone was here Daichi stood up 

"So Takeda got us a practice game this weekend on Sunday but since it's quite a while away we'll be spending the weekend over there at a hotel so when you guys get home quickly pack for the weekend and meet back in the gym so we can leave" He exclaimed there were a few cheers from a few of the very enthusiastic, *Ahem* Me "With that in mind let's get to practice" He clapped his hands together with a smile as we all stood up.  Throughout practice, I noticed Asahi got collectively more distracted the more he played until he finally was hit in the back of the head with a volleyball (That I may or may not have thrown) he was snapped back to his senses. 

"Asahi are you alright?" Suga called 

"Sorry Asahi" I scratched at the back of my neck nervously 

"Y-Yeah I'm fine" He smiled weakly 

"Asahi you're distracted" Daichi commented collecting the hoard of volleyballs that had appeared on the other side of the net 

"It's nothing. I'm fine really" He insisted, I squinted at him trying to see through his facade, his stone-hard mask but I couldn't see anything. He looked at me tensing up laughing nervously, I grumbled to myself turning away "N-Noya is there something wrong?" Asahi stuttered 

"No" I responded practicing on receives. Asahi didn't seem to accept my answer but it's not like I was going to give him another one. 

After practice had ended I ran all the way home to get packed. I grabbed a small backpack putting in what I would need two pairs of clothes, two pairs of pajamas, my hairbrush, my toothbrush and toothpaste, hair gel, my phone charger, and headphones, I looked around the room thinking if there was anything else that I missed but I decided I got everything. I zipped up the backpack and slung it over my shoulder 

"Mom I'm going on a mini field trip" I called as I started out the door 

"Why wasn't I informed about this?" She asked quickly stopping me before I could leave 

"It's for volleyball it's always last-minute" I laughed 

"I want more heads up next time Yu" she scolded.

"Yeah yeah love you bye" she kissed me on the forehead as I left running down the street back to the gym. I burst in only to find that once again no one was here. 

"Ugh, why is no one ever here when I come in" I whined dropping my backpack on the floor sitting down my back to the wall. I waited playing on the phone for about five minutes until Daichi and Suga came in talking excitedly 

"Noya you got here pretty quickly" Suga commented 

"I'm excited" I exclaimed 

"I'm surprised Hinata isn't here yet" Daichi laughed 

"Speak of the devil" Suga laughed as Hinata burst into the gym Kageyama grumpily trailing behind him 

"Is anyone here chill" Daichi shook his head disapprovingly 

"Hi!" Yamaguchi exclaimed cheerfully coming in a few moments behind Kageyama. Tsukishima came in as well a few paces behind Yamaguchi 

"I told you not to run Yama" Tsukishima scolded 

"Sorry Tsukki" Yamaguchi scratched at the back of his head awkwardly 

"Now we're waiting on Tanaka and Asahi" Suga pointed out setting his bag on the floor next to mine before sitting down crossing his legs in front of him folding his hands in his lap.  

"Tanaka will be here soon" Daichi insisted sitting down next to Suga and as he said Tanaka burst into the room a sharp-toothed smile plastered on his face 

"Tanaka, did you see Asahi?" Suga asked 

"Yeah, he's coming don't worry" Tanaka insisted. We waited a few more minutes and Asahi eventually showed up carrying his bag over one shoulder. 

"Now all we have to wait for is the bus" I exclaimed 

"The bus has been waiting for us" Daichi corrected standing up holding his hand out. Suga grabbed his hand and Daichi pulled him up to his feet. 

"Oh" I mumbled following everyone onto the bus.
