...Last month I knew something should change,
Last week I started over again,
Ask me and I'll tell you how I've been...

–H

Twenty one days.

Harry had sat disheartened by his nook for three weeks, a disappointed pout framing his face and clouding his mood as he determinedly waited for the beautiful woman to arrive.

But she never did.

Yet, Harry returned religiously every day, settling by his hidden table and staring expectantly at the door with suppressed hope while almost growling in frustration every time someone would burst through the door who wasn't her.

The singer got dangerously close to asking Amaya's friend what had happened to her, but he unwillingly held back as he suspected she probably hadn't told Lilly about him anyways. She didn't seem to like the idea of other people knowing they were together, and he had a feeling the blonde wasn't an exception.

Harry moped in his nook everyday as he ate his food dejected and drank his tea pouting. His usual waiter noticed Harry's sulking and continuously offered him desserts and extra food to brighten his mood up.

So the curly haired one sat eating a red velvet muffin and writing sad lyrics on his journal, as the door finally opened and in walked the most beautiful woman he'd ever laid eyes on.

As usual, Harry didn't notice her at first. He was too busy picking apart his muffin to be bothered to continue stalking the door like he'd become accustomed to. His hair fell to his face as he kept his head down and it hid his features from the woman walking past him, rendering her completely unaware of his presence.

He heard her voice though, and almost jumped from his seat in excitement as he heard her speak softly.

     "Hello, babes."

But when Harry saw her, his heart fell.

Amaya looked different. Her skin looked flushed and shiny from sweat, her eyes drowsy and half lidded, and she somehow seemed to have returned skinnier than before. Her hair was unusually tied up revealing her prominent under eyes and protruding cheekbones, she seemed to have a runny nose as she kept sniffing every once in a while, and her hands twitched ever so slightly as well.

These were all subtle changes, but Harry couldn't help notice them as he worried over what she might've been doing when she was away.

Harry didn't seem to be the only one who hadn't noticed Amaya arrive, Lilly practically squealed as she saw her, and immediately stopped doing whatever she was doing to run around the counter and jump into Amaya's arms.

The blonde latched onto her friend like a koala, her arms hugged her neck and her legs wrapped around her waist as she grabbed onto her tightly. Amaya was taken by surprise and stumbled a few steps back as Lilly crashed onto her.

"Uff," Amaya was winded. "Babe, you're crushing me." Her hands went up to sit on her friend's back and rub them up and down.

"You're back! Oh my gosh, I can't believe you're actually back!" Lilly leaned back to look at the curly woman.

Amaya giggled and placed her hands on Lilly's legs to begin disentangling them from around her. "I am, love. Glad to know someone missed me."

"Of course I missed you, you were gone for almost a month!" Lilly was placed back down on the floor but her arms instantly wrapped around Amaya's torso to bring her into a hug again.
