We head towards Excalibur with the map Merlin grabbed from the house. As we head down, we see it, and I read a sign. "Don't attempt to use force? Is this a tourist place??" I say in shock. "Ah, don't worry about that I can get it out. Just watch the pro." He stretches for a few minutes and then tries to get the sword, but try after try, he just can't do it. At this point, he gasps for air while leaning on the rock. "Can I have a try?" I question him. "Sure, I guess.." When he says this I grab it and instantly. I'm able to pull out the sword with ease. "Are you kidding me!?"

"S-sorry." I didn't know what else to do so I just took Excalibur, put it in its sheath, and into my bag. We'll get it back to you Arthur, promise. Merlin's still in shock as I go back to him. "How..?" He asks. "...We should get going.." Was all I could say to him, also in shock with what I had just done.

"Okay, well I guess we now have.. Excalibur..."

"What's next, Merlin?" I ask, as we make our way to Golden Goose Avenue again. "Hopefully this time there's no dragons or fairy princesses," saying this, I glance down at him. "Ha, you can say that again.." We stay in silence for a few seconds, awkwardly. I don't even think I accepted his apology when we were in the woods back then. "Hey," We both say, in unison. "I-I'm sorry you go first," I say. "No you can, Y/n."

"Okay," I continue, "Hey, Merly.."

"What- I told you to never call me that name again!" I then stop, I turn to him and lean over. I start having a giant grin on my face as I say. "Okay.. Merly."

"That's it!" He then jumps onto me. "Aww does little cute Merly want uppies?" I mock him in a playful way. "No? Hey, stop!!" He yells, as I hold him like he's a stuffed animal. He starts to blush to his ears as I carry him. "You'll regret this!" He's now angry, he hops onto my back, out of sight. "Ah, haha!" He laughs, the weight is unbearable. "M-Merlin!!" I start to lose my balance as Merlin, in his human form, clings onto my back. "This is starting to get ridiculous!" Saying this we both fall to the ground. Merlin protects my fall, my back is to him. "Sorry, are you okay?-" I try to get up but he stops me. I'm sitting upward, not able to see him. I feel his hand, it feels the same as that night. Those memories start to rush to me again,it feels like time stops, and I can't move.

"Merlin, l-let me go."

"You started it.. Close your eyes." I'm scared, but, since it's Merlin I comply anyway, I trust him. He moves in front of me. "Why? What do you plan to do?" Asking this, he starts to touch my cheek. I flinch but calm myself, it's the same way I touched him that night. "Wait you're not going to kiss me are you!?" My cheeks heat up. "It's just my way of saying sorry to you.. You still didn't accept it so.." I feel something strange on my forehead. It's his lips, he's kissing me now. "Ah." I gasp. I wasn't expecting him to actually do that.. "I'm really sorry, Y/n. I'm truly sorry for making you feel that way, for making you cry. I just want you to be yourself in front of me. Truly, I care about you. Please tell me if I ever make you feel uncomfortable by the stupid stuff I say or do." He nudges his forehead to mine. I start to really cry tears of joy.

No one's made me feel this special- this, loved for a long time. Ever since my parents passed, ever since it was just me. "Thank you, Merlin." He wipes my tears away as I open my eyes back up. I see all of him, his true self, his dwarf self, his human self. I can't help myself as I hug him tightly. I close my eyes again as I feel his body heat onto mine, turning him back to human, I start to cry again, "I forgive you, Merlin!" I truly forgive you, thank you for this. My thoughts run wild with how grateful I am to him being here with me. "Let it all out, Y/n. I'm here." He hugs me strongly until I stop.
