The character selected this month is Theodora Rose. She is the main female character in the book, "The Unknown Prince", which was made by Shannoooooon and has 2.95K reads.
Theodora, popularly known amongst friends and family as Teddy, has a particularly queer family life. Her parents died when she was very young and she was left with an
older brother,Mason. When the book begins Teddy is eighteen but by the time it ends she's twenty-two. Teddy lives in the kingdom of Aderelle and goes to the high school there in order
to hide her secret. She is secretly the owner of a tattoo shop (and this is a secret because the
royal court banned tattoos in an attempt to force John, who was supposed to ascend the throne
to do so and not run off to begin his own shop. But this plan ultimately fails). But her secret goes deeper than that; among assassins, members of the mafia and everyone who does not know her she is known as "The Valkyrie". A masked assassin who kills in order to help others in mafia debts or in general gang trouble. This persona of hers started out as
her helping her brother clear his debt with a big gang but resulted in her helping whoever else needed her.
She is not known to keep any friends except John, who is brother to Andrew's father, the King and is considered an un-biological father to her and her brother.Due to her line of work she has collected for herself, over the years, numerous enemies but through out the book she is constantly shown to harness a deep hatred for the Queen,
Tanya (well, ex-queen; towards the end of the book she is thrown out of the castle).Teddy is the proud owner numerous skills; she speaks 26 different languages including Russian, is an expert in combat and is definitely no stranger to short and long gun ranges. She is assertive, stubborn, head strong and will nevet take no for an answer. She is fiercely loyal, once you enter her inner circle, she will never let you go at all costs. Her only weakness, if it can be called that, is her stone cold persona. She is a hard introvert
and will never open up to anyone except perhaps John and Andrew (whom she marries near
the end of the book). The book opens with Theodora Rose being described as a shy nerdy girl who bumps into the coolest guy in school(and secret prince), Andrew Charles. This description is quickly thrown out of the way when she meets Andrew again at her tattoo shop and she puts on her naturally
confident and fiesty character. Andrew quickly learns that she can be trusted with anything and that she isn't like any ordinary girl.In order to help Andrew pay his mother's debt, she agrees to marry Andrew. One thing leads to another and she ends up falling for the prince who is just as stubborn, fiery and secretive as herself. When they are finally vocal to each other in regards to how they feel. Everything
seems to be perfect until Theodora thinks to herself that opening to Andrew is a sign of weakness and so begins to build walls around herself again but they work through all their issues which eventually boiled down to the final confrontation.Tanya, the ex-queen had been doing more than stealing from the royal treasury but had gotten herself into an even fishier situation that Teddy herself could not comprehend.
After their wedding (Teddy and Andrew), Teddy began her immediate rule as queen. When everything seems to be getting dealt and over with, Tanya convinces Mason to steal the crown from Teddy and he even comes close to killing her. But after attempt to reassure and calm
down her brother, which fails miserably, she kills Mason. From this, Teddy learns that Tanya should not be underestimated and so she must deal with her and her problems immediately once and for all.
But before anything could be done, she has a confrontation with Tanya at the graveside of Andrew's dead brother, Arthur which ultimately solves all her problems but at a hefty price.
Tanya tried to kill Teddy, but the king saved her by pushing her out of the way and taking the bullet. Shocked at the fact that she killed her ex-husband whom she did not even love, she
hesitated. Her hesitation gave Andrew the opportunity to grab Teddy's gun which had fallen out of her back pocket and shoot his mum square in the chest. Thereby, ending everything; settling the royal family's debt and ending the whole fiasco.I chose Theodora as the character this month because she is someone everyone can relate to. The introvert can relate to her building walls around herself and trusting only a few individuals and the strong-willed relate to her natural self confidence and stubbornness. There is something for everyone to connect with.
