The day has finally arrived. I was getting ready for the party in my room. They will be coming anytime soon. As usual I put a very light makeup on my face and put on the floral dress. I let my hair freely fall. I was going to see Jungkook after 8 months now. It's the longest time I didn't see him. I was so happy and excited. I heard noise from downstairs. They have arrived. Finally giving a final look at the mirror, I left my room.

The first person my eyes searched for was Jungkook. But I couldn't find him anywhere. Is he going to come?

Everyone arrived one by one. But Jungkook didn't. My heart fell in my stomach. My eyes were dying to see his smile, they were dying to see his brown beautiful eyes. My eyes fell on someone unfamiliar. I never saw that woman in any party.

I went to the kitchen. Maria was decorating the snacks on table. I made the snacks for this party. I always did. I love cooking. I took the tray of drink which was placed on kitchen counter and walked towards the ladies. They all took their drinks and started to talk again without even giving a thankful smile at me. How rude, I thought, but I was used to it. So whatever. Except for that lady. She was gossiping in the group too. But when I offered her the drink, she surprisingly gave a heart warming smile to me. I smiled at her back. It really felt good. Someone finally gave me a thankful smile. It immediately melted my heart. She held my right hand which was holding the tray a second ago. I was surprised and little taken aback from her action. She kept the heart warming smile on her face.
"You are so pretty honey." She said.

Pretty? Me? No one, except for my parents , ever said that I was pretty.

It felt so good. Her hands on my hand was so warm, and the heart warming smile was melting my heart more every second. After a long time, I felt this type of feeling. No one even looked at me properly. But she did. She called me pretty. That brought tears at the corner of my eyes.

"Thank you so much ma'am." I said. I wanted to hold her into a hug.

She lifted her one hand, putting it under my chin to look properly into her eyes. My vision was becoming blurry because of my tears.

"You can call me Mrs. Jeon."

Wait- is she Jungkook's mother?

"Thank you so much Mr. Jeon. It really felt so nice-"

Before we could continue our conversation, Elizabeth interrupted us.

"Hello Mrs. Jeon. Um Jungkook didn't come yet? Do you know where he is? "

The picture of being annoyed was clear on her face.

" He will be arriving soon." She replied looking at me, with a smile.

" Ava, what are you doing here, go and serve drink to others!" Her face showed her disgust towards me. What did I ever do to her.

I didn't notice when Jungkook came to the party . The moment my eyes fell on him, I suddenly forgot to breathe. He was talking to other men. I couldn't take my eyes away as usual.

I was going towards the kitchen for more drink when Aunt Ellie held my arm tight and pulled me to a corner. What's wrong with her?

"What were you talking to Mrs.Jeon?" She looked so angry. I never saw her acting this way to me.

" I- was just-"

" Stop playing your innocent card okay? Listen" she held my arms even tighter,surely leaving marks . " DO NOT act so brave! I know girls like you. Y'all run after people who have money! Girls like you are gold diggers. You deserve to stay where you came from! Now serve the snacks and drinks and go straight to your room! I don't want to see your face around anymore." She left my arms and joined the party again,leaving me dumbfounded.
