Chapter 5: Repend My Sins

(This is Boruto's casual outfit in case you're wondering.)
Boruto's pov

'That was the most delicious meal in eternity! Mom's cooking really is the best! I could eat the food she made forever~'
I was on my way home until I saw someone struggling in a dark alley. I sneaked closer and saw a dark blonde haired girl got her hands strangled by a mask men(no it's not Kakashi). Then he suddenly pulled a kunai to the girl's neck and they slowly went deeper into the alley. I quietly followed them to make sure that they don't notice me.
When they got to a bigger area the man said "Now that you're in my hands I can finally threaten that father of yours for ransom to-"
I felt someone's chakra behind me and quickly brought the man down covering his mouth. On second glance, it was my best friend back when I was still a genin, Shikadai.
"Don't worry, I'm not your enemy." I let go of him and creep at the side of the wall where I can gat a clear view of the man and hostage.
"Who the hell are you what are you doing here for?"Shikadai asked being extremely cautious because he knew I had the moves of a ninja.
"I just happen to notice him that's all, you know?"I answered him focusing on the man.
"Well I cant say that I don't appreciate the extra help. Man, what a drag." Shikadai shrug it off and focus on the target (man) as well.
"...or maybe I should kill you and said that he came too late." The masked man said.

Shikadai's pov

'Shit!' I cursed under my thought.
But before I could prepare for battle, that blonde guy quickly jump in to save the girl. He kick away the man's kunai away and quickly grab his hands and neck.
"Man, you're fast." I said as I walked out revealing myself. I quickly dial my phone to call the Leaf Police Force.
After everything calmed down, the girl thanked the blonde guy and left. Just then, he was also leaving.

"Wait!" I yelled. Gestures for the blonde guy to follow me.

"What do you want?" The blonde guy asked.

"Who are you?"

"Boruto."

"Okay then, Boruto I will need you to follow me to the Hokage's office."

"Why!?" He yelled.

"You should already know. It's because that you the movement of a ninja despite not being one."
'A skilled one in fact.' I thought in my mind.

"Fine." He pouted as he looked away.

Later, we and the leader of the Leaf Police Force went to the Hokage's office. I knocked the door and went inside.
"What is it, Shikadai?" My dad asked.

3rd person's pov

Shikadai said "I am here to report about the mission and..."
Boruto went in the office. "...this man over here was the one who captured the culprit."
"It's you!" Naruto exclaimed.
"Hehehe" Boruto giggled his face blushing a little.
"You know him" Shikamaru asked.
"Well..." Naruto explained everything to everyone in the room.
"Well he is a ninja." Shikadai said. "Or to be more specific he has the moves of a ninja."
"What!?" Naruto and Shikamaru yelled.
"Can you use ninjutsu?" Shikamaru ask in a serious tone.
"Yeah." Boruto replied a little embarrassed.
"Then, it be perfect!" Naruto suddenly exclaim.
"Huh?" Shikadai and Boruto said in unison. Totally confused about what the Hokage mean.
Shikamaru face palmed and said "Apparently, Team 7 somehow only had two members. We were thinking about adding a third member but we can't find any exception.
Boruto sweat dropped and asked "So I'm going to be that third member?"
"Yes!" Naruto said excitingly and put a black headband on his desk."And with this you will officially become a genin!"
'I'm so screwed...' Boruto thought but he excepted the headband anyway.
"You will start your mission tomorrow!"Naruto said with a silly grin.
'Maybe. Just maybe. I can help others and repay for what I did to them.' Boruto thought as he wear the headband.
"Starting today I'm a Leaf genin, ya know!" Boruto then exclaimed with a silly grin.
"Be sure to gather at training ground 7 to meet your comrades and Sensei." Naruto said.
"Hai!" Boruto exclaimed seemingly happy.
With that he left the office and went back to the hideout.

Here is something everyone who read my book should know:
1.The memory (mind) erasing jutsu had a weakness. If the targets will is strong enough he/she will regain their lost memories.
2. The gust of lightning that (currently) only Boruto can use will be named Lightning Style: Lightning Storm Jutsu.
