Chapter 13 :Chunin Exams

2 months later......

Boruto's pov

"I'm going out now, Hinata!" A teenage boy yelled.
"Okay! Have a good day~" Mom replied.
Things have been going... well rather smoothly. I'm not sure if it was a sign of the Jutsu cracking up or they are just very kind. Well I guess things turn out for the better.

The people treat me like a special guest because I managed to get a place to live at the Hokage's house despite once being a freeloader. So they thought of me as an important person, not as important as the Hokage's son though. There were rumors that I remind the Hokage about himself and that was the reason why dad adopted me.

Yes, he literally adopted me. With applications and stuff like that. It was a really troublesome process. But I guess that things turn out well.

I also manage to get along better with my team although I still bicker with Sarada at times. We even went on A rank missions and succeed at it. Well accidental undercover mission, like we saw the Kaguya ruins and Zetsu... these kind of things. Speaking of I'm going to meet up with my team right now.

"Yo! Mitsuki! Konohamaru Sensei!" -Bo
"Hello, Boruto." -Mit
"I thought I told you to stop call me that. I'm not use to it, Boruto." -Ko

For your information, Konohamaru still have lingering effects on me calling him Sensei because I used to call him Big bro.

"But you let the others call you Sensei, Sensei!" -Bo
"It's just... I dunno it's weird to see Big bro Naruto calling me Sensei!" -Ko
"I'm Boruto Namikaze! Get that straight!" -Bo
"I know! Just call me whatever." -Ko sighed as he looked away.
'I usually call him the same way as he called Naruto." I thought as I sighed.
"I-I'm here!" A feminine voice said.
It was Sarada.
"Sorry I'm late!" -Sara. She was panting heavily putting her hands on her knees.
"You're late again, Sarada!"I yelled at her.

Apparently, being someone who was desperate to reach his goal I conquered my sleepy weakness. While Sarada who was just wanting to bring me back home. Didn't care for time management and had my old habit. Oh, and I got over the fact she betrayed me.

She stood up and defended herself "A black cat got on my way and I had to take the long turn."
"That's a lie" -Bo
"Urusai, dobe!" -Sara
"What did you say, teme!" -Bo
"I'm talking about you! Dobe!" -Sara
"Why you? Teme!" -Bo
"Dobe!" -Sara
"Teme!" -Bo
"I still think you two would make a great couple." Mitsuki snickered.
"Hell no!" We yelled at Mitsuki in unison.

Konohamaru coughed gathering our attention. "Now I want you guys to calm down and listen to me!"
We stopped our bickering.
"I called you all here today cause we will be having the Chunin Exams."
I tense up. 'Chunin Exams?! I hope I won't meet those guys again.'
"Well, apparently we seem to have ignored the event for a long time for some reason and we're resuming it now." -Ko
'And there goes my self confidence.' I thought as I listened to the details of the exam.
"...and here are you're applications for the exam." Konohamaru said as he gave us slips of papers.
"You will need to sign those papers to join the Chunin Exams." -Ko
"Why do need to explain to us we already know the drill?" -Sara
"Ahem?" I coughed.
"Oh." -Sara
Konohamaru facepalmed "Anyway! You need to return those forms within a week signed or not."
"Hai!" We exclaimed.

"I'm so excited for this! Shannaro!" -Sara
"Me too." Mitsuki smiled.
"... ..."
"What's wrong, Boruto?" -Mit
"I'm not sure..." -Bo
"Ehh?!" -Sara
"Well this is my first time in these kind of events. The people from other villages will also be joining right? It's my first time facing other villages Shinobi." -Bo
That was not true though.
"Why are you of all people worried?! I mean you have an advantage! You have a Jutsu that others don't even know about. They can't even read it on books!" -Sara
"Beginners nervous?" -Mit
"I just don't know how to deal with situations like these, ya know! I'm not the show off type of a person!" -Bo
"I don't want to hear that from you!"-Sara
"Okay, I'm not the crowd type of person. Happy?!" I say in defeat.
"Well you do avoid the chances of getting attentions a lot." -Mit
"Why are you worried about that? It's not like- Oh, oh~ I get it so you're being a scaredy cat." -Sara
"Well I prefer spying or infiltrating jobs better and showing my face isn't going to help that." -Bo
"I know! Why don't we have a makeover!" Sarada exclaimed out loud. It was one of girl's most favorite thing to do.
"Oh lord pls save me~" I said quietly so she wouldn't hear it.
"Just make sure you don't go overboard, Sarada." Mitsuki warned the crazed girl.
"Noted~!" Sarada yelled and pulled me away.

'I'm so dead~' I thought in my mind.
