Chapter 9: The Unknown Past

Back to when Boruto erased their memories months ago...

"Ugh..." Naruto Uzumaki moaned.
He stood up supporting himself with the table beside him. His head was spinning like crazy like he was just on a rollercoaster ride.
"W-what happened?" Sasuke said as he slowly stood up.
"That was what I was going to ask." Kakashi's voice could be heard on the entrance to the back stage.
"I don't know. My head is spinning..." Naruto said.
Then, they notice the people at the stadium starting to woke up one after another.

"What's going on?"

"Were we attacked?"

"My head hurts like hell..."

"Why am I sleeping?"

"Is it genjutsu?"

"Are we safe?"

Voices could be heard from the crowd of people. However, Naruto couldn't care less he quickly teleported to where Hinata and Himawari were at.
"Are you okay?" Naruto said seemingly worried as he can't clearly remember the events that had just happened.
"I'm okay." Himawari said her eyes frowning a little.
"Do you know what just happened?" Hinata asked her husband.
"I don't know what happened either... Actually, I can't remember what had happened." Naruto replied.
'What is going on here? Why does my head hurt like crazy at a time like this?' Naruto thought to himself.
"Everyone please go back home and do not come out. We will have a temporary lockdown for now!" The sixth Hokage a.k.a. Kakashi yelled.
"Dad is everything going to be okay?" Himawari whimpered. She doesn't like how this is going.
"It's alright. I assure you everything will be just fine." Naruto reassured his daughter and walked over to his former squad members (which you know it's Kakashi, Sasuke and Sakura).
"Do any of you remember what had happened?" Sakura asked.
Kakashi and Naruto shook their heads with a no reply.
"Do you remember anything Sasuke?" Kakashi turned towards him and said.
"No, it's blurry. I only remember seeing a male with a cloak like mine and nothing else." Sasuke said with a depressed look.
"I think there is one other person but I can't make out who it is." He added.
"Are we under a genjutsu?" Kakashi questioned to no one in particular.
"If that is so Sasuke would have his memories intact." Sakura answered Kakashi's question.
'What is this feeling? I feel like I forgot something really important... but what is it?! Why do I feel like I had a torn inside my chest as if something precious is taken away from me?'
"Naruto!" Sakura's word snapped Naruto out of his thoughts.
"H-Huh?" He startled.
"What are you doing? More importantly can you asked Kurama if he remember anything that had happened?" Kakashi said.
"I-I'll try!" Naruto replied.

Sadly even Kurama doesn't know anything (because he was asleep). They checked to see that nobody was hurt except for the guards at the gate and the safe where secret classified documents are.

They check and didn't see any documents missing (or so they thought) there wasn't anything wrong (except that they find the guards knocked out cold) in the Leaf Village so the Leaf Police Force closed this case as an accidental incident. But because even the ANBU's of the Leaf is knocked out cold Naruto told Sasuke to secretly continue investigating this case.

There were also a few missing things from the Hokage's house. The things at the room on the end of the hallway (Boruto's room) were all gone. There were also a few photos missing from the picture frame. Including their family photos. While the picture of team 7 in Sarada and Mitsuki's house was torn, unable to see who their original third member is.             ( I know Boruto doing all this is creepy but it is necessary for the story)

Even the bingo book that every Chunin, Jounin and ANBU has had one of their page torn up. Naruto and the previous Hokage could only assume that it was a rogue ninja who attacked them but there were a few screw lose. If he was a rouge of this village why can't we remember him? He could be one of Naruto's kid but who is it? Why did they became a rouge if it's Naruto's child? Why are they erasing their existence? Why do they go so far as to steal the documents about themselves? Both Naruto and Hinata aren't good at genjutsu is he adopted? How did he made us forget about almost everything, there aren't any other saringan users left except for Sasuke and his daughter.

There was too many plot holes so it was hard for them to find out the truth. Even after they make guesses it still lead them nowhere so they tried to forget about it. Except the fact that both Naruto, Hinata, Himawari and Sarada had this eerie feeling that the person was someone precious to them.

So that's why now they gotten hold of this mysterious person and Naruto won't let this chance go to waste.
