When we stop to catch our breath the sun has long gone, the glow from outside is the only source of light we have. The coldness of tile starting to bite me on my skin, as if he notices Zer put his palms flat on the tile and I feel the tile warming.

And he's slowly mastering his... ability.

"Should I feel concerned about how fast you control your... power?"

"You're my power." He said flicking a strand of hair away from my face.

I smile at him, now who has a way with words? "You know what I mean." I push him with my hand. The blackness on his skin has subsided, leaving him with his normal color skin. We showered and eating our dinner in silence, although our hands are linked, our mind is further apart.

"What did you feel?" I ask him, "When you... turned." I try to be specific.

He drops his spoon and looks at nothing in front of him. "Lots of noises." He tells me. "No boundaries." He adds.

"What does that mean?"

He opens his palm and his glass slides by itself to his grip, suddenly the water starts to boiling inside it, and next thing I know the glass is shattered.

He really needs no time at all to master it.

"Wow." I can only say.

"That word doesn't translate." He tells me.

But I understand it in my head.
He says inside my head.

I don't need a translator device to understand you.

Now I really have no words.

He was lethal before, now he is... supernatural.

"What are you going to do now?"

"I don't know," he simply replies.

It's the highest offense to/or trying to control the time and the element of nature. We have come along way from Tar-Zenirian, and we have no intention to go back.

Honestly, I don't know if I will ever get used to him talking inside my head. "So what are you going to do?"

"I will hide it, try to... suppress it."

I reach for his hand and squeeze it. "Are you sure? Is that what you want?"

He looks at me with so many unspoken words, "I want to spend my whole life with you. I want to laugh, cry, and get angry with you."

I hold up his hand and kiss it. "And you shall have it, husband."

We try our best to live our life like nothing happen, but I know both of us barely sleep at nights, we barely eat, and I don't know how to talk to Zer, as everything we talk about seems to lead us back to... that.

Now I always come to his office once a week, and today is that day. I bring his favorite food, which now I can cook by myself, and walking inside his office attracting considerably fewer eyes than the first time. He is on the phone but his face lights up when he sees me.

I move to the back of his chair and wrap my arms around his broad shoulders. His other hand reaches mine and I can feel faintly the warmth radiating from his palm. "Shall we?" He stands up and holds my hand as we walk to the break room.

"I haven't seen Lor for sometimes, how is he doing?" I casually ask as we sit down.

The look Zer is giving me makes me want to laugh and hit him at the same time, laugh because it is funny to see him like this, and hit him to think I might be interested in another male.

"He's fine, busy visiting other races." He shortly says. "You don't like the food?" He asks me as he notices that I barely eat my food.

I can only sigh, "I miss earth food, I need to learn how to cook earth food version of Tzarian."

"I like your cooking," my sweet husband tries to cheer me up.

"You better be, you're stuck with me." We finish our food and talk a bit more, touch a bit more, until we know we cannot idle anymore.

"High General," a male Tzarian saluting him. "Your presence is required by the Councils." He informs.

"Go, husband, I can see myself out," I say as I kiss him.

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, I'll see you soon at home." He stops me and rubs his nose on mine, I can literally feel a high level of uncomfortable radiating from the other male.

"I'll see you at home, wife." With that, I move away from his embrace and get inside the elevator. As I have so much time to kill I decided to stop one floor above the ground floor and taking the grand staircase instead, God knows I don't remember when was the last time I did any kind of exercise, and having sex with Zer doesn't count, as all I have to do is lay down and have my brain stop functioning for a while.

I should call Rur and ask if he is free for lunch tomorrow.

It was the last thing I remember as I feel the gravity move, I can barely hear what is going on around me, my head is heavy and I seem to have no control over my limbs. Next thing I know I feel so much pain, on my head, my shoulder, my chest, my back, my legs, and my stomach, and I think... I see Zer's horrified face before all goes dark.

I wake up with my head pounding. Ugh... did I drink last night? I can barely open my eyes with all the lights blinding me.

"Kate?" I can hear Zer's voice but I cannot see him.

"So bright..." I try to tell him.

"Dim the light!" He barks the order and soon the light softens. "How do you feel?"

"Like I've been hit by a truck—or a plane." Maybe he doesn't know what a truck is.

"You fell from the stairs, do you remember?"

I try to remember but I cannot. "Did I?"

"Yes," He sits down on the side of the bed, gathering me in his arms. "I've never felt scared before, wife. It wasn't a good feeling. I forbid you to make me feel that way again." I can only smile at his silly order.

"I'll try my best," I mumble against his warm chest.

"I'll call the doctor and tell him you're awake, he should be able to tell us now what is wrong with you." He stands up and walks out of the room. I realize now that I'm lying down in a stiff bed, taller than my height, and wearing a white hospital dress, again.

I try to sit down but my head is killing me, thankfully soon enough Zer comes back with a doctor looking Tzarian male. He appears to be older than Zer and keeping a good distance away from The High General.

"How do you feel?" The doctor asks.

"In pain." I simply say I can feel Zer's palm heats in my hand as he hears my reply.

Ops.

"I have bad news and good news, two good news, really. First good news is, you're fine, nothing wrong is you, and that... the whole nation can celebrate for we, Tzarian have found a compatible female to reproduce with." He is visibly shaking, his eyes are anywhere but on Zer or me.

Oh no.
