Jihyun went back to the dorms with a few bags of groceries, she started to cook.
She decided to make a couple of different meals so that the boys had a few to choose from. She started to cut everything up, heating up pots of water and pans of oil.
It took her about an hour to make all of the dishes and right on time when the boys walked through the doors.
"Hey," Jihyun smiled, wiping her hands on a kitchen towel as the boys shuffled into the kitchen, sitting as their mouths watered with saliva.
"Noona, this looks so good," Jimin said, eating right away.
"Eat up, this is all for you guys." She smiled, taking the apron off to reveal the white silk top she wore.
"Why are there only 7 bowls?"
"Oh, I already ate at the office. I have to go over a new case. You guys enjoy dinner." She left the kitchen and entered her boyfriend's room where she was staying. She took a quick shower, before going over the case.
Her eyes went over the statements, evidence pieces and circumstances of the event. Jihyun's eyes widened when the name of the defendant came up.
Yo Kwangsun.
He was an idol and actor, a pretty respected and popular one too.
He had the ultimate clean slate, the best reputation.
The best-manufactured reputation.
She scoffed at the fact that he used his 'good image' to do something so horrid, fully believing that he wouldn't get caught.
She had met with Sunhee earlier that day, she was an idol too. They were under the same company and apparently, he had been harassing her since she was a trainee in 2014, just recently he did the full-on assault.
She could be making more than one lawsuit.
One towards Kwangsun and the other towards their company, because Jihyun had no doubt in her mind that the company knew that it happened but kept it a secret in hopes it would never get out because if it did, it would be all over.
She swore under her breath as the descriptions of the assault got more detailed and vivid with the evidence to prove it.
Most of the evidence came from the clothes that she had on when it happened, along with the DNA under her nails when she tried to fight against him.
Sunhee was a smart girl.
Jihyun smiled at that. Sunhee knew what to do to make sure she won this case, despite being a victim, she knew what to do and Jihyun applauded her for that.
The door opened to the room and she felt two big hands go over her shoulders, squeezing gently.
She closed her eyes for a moment, a breath leaving her lips.
"What are you working on?"
"A new case. I have a feeling that this will be a long one." She sighed as Namjoon's lips pressed onto the bare skin of her neck, little butterfly kisses littering over her body.
"Do you want a pair of listening ears?" He whispered, pulling the rolling chair closer to the bed before wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her to straddle him.
Jihyun let him take control, smiling as she felt the warmth of his body pressed against hers.
"Today, the defendant's lawyer came to ask for my help to win the case. I read it over and it turns out, the defendant was accused of sexual harassment for years before recently, assaulting the plaintiff."
"They have the audacity to do that?"
"That's what I said." She looked into Namjoon's brown eyes, her arms swung around his neck. Wrapping around them loosely. "Turns out, the victim is a client of one of the attorneys in my firm so I switched cases with them. Right now, we're at the stage where we prepare our statements along with any evidence collected by the police and their forensics team. Then after that, we have to go for a preliminary hearing, we could be there for a while, a couple of days and then we'll have some time to gather more things for the superior court."
"I'm proud of you, baby girl. For doing all of this, for standing up for what you believe in." Jihyun smiled, her lips meeting his soft pillowy ones.
"Thank you, honey." Her hands ran through his hair, massaging his scalp. He rested his head on her shoulder. "How did Jungkook seem at dinner?"
Namjoon lifted his head back up, looking up at her.
"He was okay, he ate normally and he seemed okay at rehearsals. He had a lot on his mind but it didn't look like he would explode or anything."
"Do you think he'll ever talk to me again?" Jihyun asked, her eyes softening and at that moment, Namjoon could see the pain deep within them. She was afraid, he could tell, no matter how hard she tried to hide it.
"Of course, baby. Jungkook loves you, he really does. He just needs some time." Namjoon stared at his girlfriend who looked away from him. "Jihyun, look at me please."
"I hate this, Namjoon. I hate that I feel like this now. Before I met you and the boys or saw Jungkook again, I was a badass. I got everything because I was good, not because I was someone's sister. I didn't cry or have these unnecessary feelings. I was devoted to being a lawyer, I was... empty. And I know that isn't good but it worked."
"Jihyun, you're still a badass." Namjoon chuckled. "You're still getting everything because you're good. You are still devoted to being a lawyer, you're strong. The only thing that changed is that you gained some feelings back after sealing them away from being hurt. It's good that you have the ability to become vulnerable. You don't have to be vulnerable at work but at home, be you. Not a shell."
Jihyun's eyes filled with adoration and she just stared at Namjoon for a few moments.
"I love you." She whispered before pushing her lips against his. His hands found their way under her shirt, his big, warm hands laid on her back, feeling the soft curve of her spine meeting the curve of her ass.
He pulled away, hands resting on her bottom as he smiled.
"I love you too, baby."
