•-Vulpes-•

Walking around the Legionary ground, a woman stood at a table. She looked young but not to young. It looked as if she was a doctor, "A free woman. It's... been awhile since I've seen a woman who wasn't a slave. I forget myself - are you injured?" "No... I have some questions.." she sounded a little standoff-ish and nervous. "what do you want to know?" The thought of women being slaves made my skin crawl and my body go cold. What if Caesar makes me a slave.. Dating Vulpes wasn't as easy as it looks. He thinks of himself high and mighty, but it's not like he doesn't love you. He just has a hard time explaining and showing it, and we're good on terms, as far as I know, but he still seemed cold.

"How are women treated around here?" "Were property-" 'Property' that word felt like bricks being thrown at my chest. Property? I heard one of the legionary talk to me earlier saying that all we were good for was to bare children and make sure our species survive. But that isn't what we're for, we can fight. I tuned back into what she was saying. "If your too young or too old, the men usually leave you alone. Usually. You ought to be careful, yourself. I heard some of the Legionaries talking about 'trying you out'" "yeah, I'll definitely watch myself. Nice seeing you" "oh before you go, my names Siri. I hope we meet again soon" she kindly waved and went back to whatever it was she was doing.

'Property, 'trying you out?' What was that suppose to mean?' I left the fort and walked back through Nipton, wanting to go to the NCR camp just up the hill. Halfway though Novac I already seen Legionary recruits walking around the roads. I didn't plan on seeing Vulpes for a day or two, just to cool off but he always knows where to find me. Walking into Nipton I looked at the bodies that were stretched out like canvas on the crosses and the heads that were sitting on poles. "Beautiful, isn't it?" Out of all places why did he have to be here, he already took it over.

I just couldn't help the sigh that escaped my mouth. "What is it Vulpes?" "What? Can I not see you?" "I didn't say that. What is it?" The silence that surrounded us made me realize that he was up to something. "I seen you walking around The Fort earlier" "yeah, I seen you" you turned and headed towards the outside of the town. His footsteps grew louder, "listen...I-I like you?" He never said 'I like or love you' first. "I know, tell me" you stopped abruptly, you were hesitant whether to ask the question or not. "I heard, all women at the Fort are slaves, or they're either good for something else" "who told you that?" "That's not important, tell me. Am I a slave?...or property?" He stopped in his tracks and just looked at you.

I turned and looked at his black goggles. "Your not property, your...mine. Your not a slave, your a courier" "'mine' is the same thing as claiming something...ugh, look dating isn't saying someone's your property, ok? I get that sometimes it's hard for you to understand these feelings but that isn't love." "Well.. your my property if you won't be anyone else's" I smiled and shook my head in disbelief, I took a step closer, my hand gently touched his and I smiled at him. He smiled back and grabbed my hand, rubbing my knuckles I laughed a little. This did not seem like him at all, he nodded and turned around. At least he somewhat gets the idea.
