Chapter 1: A New Light

It has been eight years since the Ursaring incident happened, and Midoriya and Bakugo still remember almost each detail to this day. Both wouldn't speak much about it unless necessary due to the fact they wouldn't want to relive nor think about such a traumatic experience. Midoriya felt intimidated by Pokemon for a few weeks, but Bakugo helped Midoriya grow out of his fear by leading him towards small patches where tiny Pokemon would stay. Bakugo would then lead Midoriya back to the forest where the incident occurred. Midoriya felt scared at first, but after some reassuring yet rough words by Bakugo, Midoriya puffed up his chest and reentered the forest once again.

As the two explored the forest after what seemed like an eternity. They were encountered by a barrage of Pokemon lunging themselves at the two. Midoriya was greeted by a Starly resting its head on his shoulder, while the Sentret was smiling and nibbling his pants. Bakugo on the other hand was greeted by a Nidoran male rubbing his face against his legs, and a Mankey standing on his shoulder. The two saw this and started laughing at the sight. They wondered why they never came back sooner as the Pokemon missed them as much as they missed the creatures.

However, Midoriya still has vivid memories of that mysterious Pokemon while Bakugo only has faint memories of it. Whenever Midoriya would ask Bakugo if he remembered, the blonde would just shrug it off not caring about it. That Pokemon that saved the two back then has always been on Midoriya's mind and once he felt safe in the forest again, he tried his best to search for that mysterious Pokemon. This would go on for years, but to no avail. Nevertheless, Midoriya hasn't lost hope and still wishes to encounter that Pokemon again. Currently, today is the day where Bakugo and Midoriya graduate and receive their starter Pokemon.

AT ALDERA JUNIOR HIGH (8:10AM)

It was the start of school and everyone was stoked to receive their first Pokemon. Today felt as if nothing could've gone wrong. It was the last day of school AND the day where they received a Pokemon. This felt like every kids dream growing up. Since it was the last day of school everyone was at the edge of their seats waiting for the teacher to come into the classroom and announce the main event for today. So to pass the time, the class was talking amongst each other about their future partner.

"Yo my man, Shiki! What do you think you'll get as your starter?" A kid asked whose hairstyle was shaped like a rock.

"Mannnn... I don't know. I'm probably thinking a Charmander." The student called "Shiki" responded.

"A Charmander? That's so sick! I think I'll get an Oshawott." The kid responded back.

"Who do you think will get the best Pokemon here though?" A kid whose face was shaped like a circle asked.

"Probably Bakugo or Midoriya, they know a lot more about Pokemon than we do, and have encountered tons already." Another random kid answered.

As the students were talking with each other the bell then rang. When the teacher walked in, everyone was at their seats waiting for him to speak anticipating the big announcement. As the teacher walked up to his podium, he placed down his papers and began talking.

"Good morning class.. As many of you know, today will be your last day of school!" The whole class started shouting with joy. Some were standing on their chairs, some were jumping around, and some shouting with joy. Obviously it was a huge deal for everyone and they can't just contain their excitement.
