Nova black - Sirius' twin

chapter 1 - the train ride

"Nova, are you coming or not?" my twin brother sirius called from the doorway, I grabbed my last trunk and ran out of my bedroom.

"coming," when I got to the door my mother was waiting for me, she looked so proud. 

"Honey, if you aren't in slytherin we are officialy dissowning you," my mother liked to rant on about slytherin was the best and no other house was equal to it.

"Chill-ax mother, we'll be fine, I'm going to personally make sure Sirius arrives in slytherin safely," my mother smiled, I was the younger twin by about 5 munits but I was still way over protective of Sirius, as he was with me. I kissed my mother on the cheek and said goodbye before me and sirius walked out the door.

"hey Nova, we're at the train station, come on mother told us to run at the wall and don't stop,"

"you want me to go first?"

"ok,"

I ran at the wall with all my might, and then CRASH! 

"NOVA!"

"Jeez Sirius, I just ran into the wrong wall thats all,"

"YOU HAVE A CUT ON YOUR HEAD!"

"Its a tiny scratch,"

"still a cut,"

Sirius helped me up and got all my stuff back onto the trolly, I was trying to calm down my two little rats. They didn't seem too pleased about me waking them up.

"you can do this after me nova, you nearly killed yourself!"

I sighed. "fine, but you'd better close your eyes I want to see the train before you," He laughed and ran into a wall, and no HE didn't crash. I grinned, he would be so sorry if he saw that train before me! I ran at the wall and to my suprise I went through it. As soon as I was through I tried to turn but tripped over my trolly and ended up sprwled on the floor.

A boy with long scars appeard in my veiw, he was looking down at me with a serious face but I could tell on the inside he was screaming with laughter. I got up and groaned when I saw I had alsready ripped my new coat.

"names nova, you?"

"remus lupin,"

"co- oh shit," the train whistle began and lupin grabbed my bags and ran on the train, I carefully lifted up my two little angry rats and followed suit, I just made it on before the train started to move. Remus had put my bags away in his compartment and offered me a hand, I took it. 

"thanks Remus,"

"no-problem,"

I sat down on one of the carrige seats and saw my brother already sitting on one of them. 

"So Nova, Remus has told me you have already fallen over two times,"

"look the first time I didn't fall over I ran into the wrong train wall, the second time my trolly was in the way, niether off them were my fault,"

Sirius laughed. "you know they were both your fault,"

"who's that?" I asked pointing at two boys one with dark messy hair and the other was quite fat.

"Um I need a pee, James come here!"

I laughed, I'm pretty sure that you don't need your friend to go to the loo with you, but Sirius was a weird kid. I began a confersation with fat boy and Remus.

"Hey, what's your name?"

"p-peter,"

"nice to meet you, I'm Nova,"

An idea suddenly hit me then, it was so wonderful that I was grinning from ear to ear, I bent down and grabbed my wand, which had fallen on the floor some time ago. I went over to Sirius' trunk and grabbed his robes, I muttered a spell under my breath and smiled as a neon blue light flashed from my wand into his robes. I then went over to James bag, I got his robes and muttered the same spell. 

"Um, Nova, What are you doing?"

"You'll soon find out!"

I walked over to the door and put a spell on it that would pour slime over anyone who came in, this was going to be good. I sat down in my seat and tried to contain my mischevious giggle. I only had to wait 5 minutes before the door flung open and in walked the messy haired boy.

"I AM J-" he was cut off as a bucket of slime was poared over his head.

"AGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!" He yelled and attemted to get the cold slime off him, Sirius had walked into the carrage and was met with the same fate. 

"NOVAAAAAAAAAAAA!" he screamed at me,

"yes," i said back very politly,

"do you know how long it's going to take to get this out of my hair?"

"Yes,"

Sirius scowled at me and grabbed his robes and walked out, Messy hair did the same.

Remus looked at me his eyes shining, "wow, that was amazing!"

I laughed, "just wait till you see part two,"

I stood uo and unjinxed the slime, they didn't need to ruin their robes anymore then they were already ruined. A couple of minutes later Sirius came back into the carrage, his robes were bright pink, Messy hair came in a fw minutes after that and shriked when he saw his robes. this time I couldn't help but laugh. 

"AGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG NNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOVVVVVVVVVVVAAAAAAAAAA!!!" 

"yes Sirius,"

"undo it!"

I laughed. "Only if you tell us what your darkest secret is!"

The look in his eyes was so funny that I had to laugh, when I looked over my shoulder at Remus and Peter, Remus was looking panicstricken and Peter was laughing.

"I have a crush on Lilly Evens," Messy hair said, immediately his robes were unjinxed.

"I'm scared of my mum," Sirius' robes were turned back into their original state.

I smiled at them knowing we were nearly there, so I grabbed my robes and got changed. As I left I heard Messy Hair say

"she's scary your sister is!"

When I got back into the carriage Messy Hair looked over at me,

"my names James, you?"

"Nova,"

"so Nova what made you decide to prank us on this fine day? we are innocent boys after all,"

I laughed. "any friend of mine OR Sirius is definitely not innocent!" 

 He laughed and said, "while you were gone we started up a group called the marauders wanna join?"

Sirius gave James a pleading look so I (just to annoy Sirius) joined.

"yeah okay, I'll join,"

"think of a nickname then get back to us and we will all decide if it's good enough,"

"mm-kay,"

The train started to slow down and that's when I realised, we had just arrived at Hogwarts.
