chapter 6 - the bad dream

I've ignored the marauders all week, its not my fault they act like bitches. They seemed really angry at me. I knew Sirius would make it up to me sometime because, hello, he was my twin. it was Friday, a week after the argument and I think they had had enough. they walked up to me and Sirius spoke first.

"Nova, why are you ignoring us?"

I glared at him and said, "Stop bulling the Slytherins," I knew what they had been doing for a while but I had finally had enough. 

"Listen Nova, I don't know why you're acting so horribly, you need to change,"

"Oh I need to change do I? I'm sure mother would appreciate what your doing,"

"Nova, please don't tell her, I'll do anything, please," Of course I wasn't going to tell mother, she would kill him. 

"I will only not tell mother if you agree to stop bulling everyone,"

"But-"

"No buts Sirius, that's my final word,"

"Nova you know what Slytherins are, you know what they do, they all turn evil, you know they do, take mother for example, she's pure evil,"

"What are you trying to do to them? Scare them? Make them afraid to do anything wrong? That's not going to work it will only make them more likely to become evil,"

"Nova, I'm sorry, I won't bully them ok, I promise,"

"Swear on your life,"

"Yes,"

We hugged each other, and that was that, fixed between me and Sirius. James stared at us gobsmacked, he thought that I would be so much harder to crack, but Sirius was my brother, my twin and we had grown up together. 

"Sorry Nova," He said, I rolled my eyes at him and he hugged me. 

"Nova, I'm sorry," Peter said.

I went to Peter and hugged him then waited for Remus to apologise.

"What? I don't bully anyone," 

"Remus, you stand around not doing anything,"

"Ok... well, sorry,"

I hugged him and then we all made our way to history of magic where I sat next to lily. We might be friends but one wrong move and I'm sending a letter to mother. When professor bins began talking I think I droned out, what do I care about Gerald, the man who slayed a unicorn. After we had finally escaped we went to the great hall. 

We had dinner and before we went to bed I heard Remus say "Hey guys tomorrow I'm going to my grandma for the night, her condition is getting worse,"

He needed to tell us the truth! I mean we are his best friends and he can't keep this from us forever. I sighed and went to bed. I had a horrible dream. 

I was at home and I couldn't find Sirius anywhere, when I tried looking for him he wasn't anywhere. I went into the living room to find my mother and father with a knife. They normally used a belt or a cigarette but I suppose they would want to start using knives now. I went up to them and saw the knife had blood dripping from it. 

"Where's Sirius?" I said.

"Oh Nova, you don't know? Oh well like we'll tell you," My mother laughed.

"Here's your dinner," My father said, I was confused me and Sirius would always have to make them dinner.

I started eating and it was good, not as good as Hogwarts meals but still good. When I had finished the whole meal I got up and made my way towards my bedroom. When I left my mother pounced on me and said, "Lets see how you taste shall we? Sirius was delicious don't you agree?"
