Nova black - Sirius' twin

chapter 5 - a tired Remus

I woke up in the middle of the night it seemed that someone had left the window open it wasn't cold though, in fact it was warm. When I walked over to the window there was a howl. Mabey Moony was right it was Hogwarts with ghosts and monsters it probably wasn't safe. another howl. I had to get to Sirius, I  wrapped a blanket around myself and walked out of my dormitory, when I got to the boys dormitory Moony wasn't there. I went over to Sirius and shook him awake. 

"Nova? NOVA?"

"shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, Sirius, where's moony?"

"nova, moony's gone to his grandma's she's ill,"

"I don't think that's the-"

"Nova, will you just believe him, there isn't anything wrong with him, you are just making him upset."

"I will follow him next time then."

"what? what did you say? I didn't hear you," 

"doesn't matter,"

"why are you in the boys dormitory anyway?"

"I think you know," 

I stood up and left, there was no way on earth I was going back to sleep. Moony was missing, I didn't know where he was but I had a small idea on what he might be.

I walked out of my dormitory and walked in the shadows so I wouldn't get caught. On the first night here I heard some older girls talking about how to get into the kitchens. apparently you had to tickle a pear and it would giggle and let you in.

When I got to the pear portrait I tickled the pear. It giggled and opened a door, inside it was swarming with house elves. I walked to the nearest one.

"Hello there, I was wondering, have you seen Moony leave the castle?"

"Moony? I do not know of such things I swear!"

"Oh no sorry I meant Remus Lupin,"

"indeed he have,"

"Do you know where he went?"

"That classified Hogwarts business,"

"but you see I'm worried about him, he missed dinner yesterday and then just disappeared, when I looked for him I couldn't find him,"

"Not going to tell, do you want anything to eat or drink?"

"okay, can I have some bread and three glasses of water,"

"yes of course,"

The house elf went away and came back with two slices of bread, both buttered. I smiled at her and took the food. then I handed her a slice of bread and told her to eat it. since she was looking stressed I hugged her and said thanks. Then I left the kitchen, I walked outside and sat on the steps leading into Hogwarts. If Moony was out of Hogwarts he would be back soon. 

I could feel my eyes closing and before I knew it I was asleep. 

I woke up as soon as the morning sun hit my lids. When I looked around I saw a half naked boy emerging from a hole in a tree. I ran to him.

"Remus!"

He looked absolutely terrified, and I don't blame him he was half naked after all. I wrapped my blanket around him and had a proper look at his face. there were scratches amongst his scars.

"Come inside Remus,"

"You... don't know... do you?"

"Know what?"

A look of relief crossed his face as I dragged him inside to a spare classroom. Then I waved my wand and a needle, thread, cotton to clean the blood and an ointment so he wouldn't feel pain.
