(18) Epilogue

3rd person P.O.V

*One year later*

After the impossible war, everything went back to normal. Cities have been rebuilt and people went back to their normal life, without a memory of what has happened.

Zayn and Liam, are now married, Zayn proposed to Liam less than a month ago. Now they're living a happy life in LA with their bestfrieds Niall,Harry and Louis.

Louis and Harry are now dating, and Niall likes to call them Larry.

Niall is still single and has no intention of getting engaged. He and the others are now planning to go to college, which is going to start next week.

All of them are really excited since they want to make new friends.

* 10 years later*

All of the boys now have finished school. They have a job and they're enjoying their lives. Louis and Harry are now married and Zayn and Liam have adopted a kid, he's name is Aaron.

He's 7 and he's going to primary school, he has made lots of new friends and is quickly adapting to his new life.

Liam, since he's human started to age, but Zayn is still young and beautiful as he was during college. Liam doesn't want to be turned into a demon because he wants to live a happy life and then die when is the moment to. Like everyone does, but Zayn has a different idea, he's afraid that he'll be alone again. Like he did for all those years before he met Liam.

*20 years later*

Liam is in his early 50s now, and Zayn is becoming increasingly worried. Aaron meanwhile has become a man, he's twenty-seven and he's engaged with a beautiful woman, called Sarah.

Louis and Harry are enjoying their lives and they usually spent their free time travelling all around the world.

None of the boys know what Niall is up to. He left 5 years earlier saying that he wants to travel and see the entire world. Liam sometimes cries at the thought that he'll never see Niall again.

*30 years later*

Time has passed, and Liam is now in his late 80s. Zayn spends his days crying, scared at the thought that he'll loose Liam anytime soon. Liam tries to comfort him by reminding him the happy life that they had together. Zayn is still young and beautiful and this kills him.

Liam died two days later of old age. Aaron, Louis,Harry and Zayn were all present at his funeral. Zayn couldn't stop crying for the whole ceremony, he had to leave with Aaron which happily helped his dad.

Now, Zayn spends his days looking at pictues of him and Liam, he reminds himself of how happy he was when they got married and when they adopted Aaron. His life didn't have a meaning anymore, he calls his life useless, Aaron as the good child he is pays regular visits to his dad comforting him all the time.

Zayn has lost a lot of weight, all bones clearly visible, he doesn't sleep most of the nights and this led to him being depressed and tired most of the time.

One night, we he tried to fall asleep, Zayn heard a voice, it was coming from the garden. He ran down the stairs and then he saw it. In front of him Liam stood, looking at him.

"Liam-m" Zayn started crying, he's eyes now filled with tears and his voice shaky.

"Yes Zayn, it's me Liam" Zayn couldn't believe his eyes,he ran towards Liam to hug him but he passed right through him.

"Why can't I t-touch y-you?" Zayn's weak voice said.

"I'm a ghost Zi, you know, I've been watching you since the day I died, and I don't like what you're doing. You're refusing food and you don't let Aaron visit you anymore"

"I know, but I miss you, everyone misses you Liam, me, Aaron, Louis and Harry"

"I know Zayn, but I'm dead now, and you have to get over it. I'm in a better place and you need to live your life, I can't thank you enough for all the marvellous time we spent together"

"So come back, we could spent more time together"

"I can't Zi, and you now it" Zayn didn't realise but now they were in their room.

"How did I get here?" He asked, feeling sleepy

"I brought you here, now get into bed, you need to sleep" Zayn followed Liam's instructions and once in bed, Liam pulled the covers over Zayn's body, kissing his forehead.

Zayn was now asleep, Liam's presence comforted him.

"Goodnight Zayn" Liam said, and with that he vanished.
