Chapter 5: New Company

A few weeks have gone by as there were always meetings at the association. I kept on getting bored during those meetings so Saitama and I would always be secretly chatting while they were trying to give us information. Child Emperor was upset because his big lollipop broke and fell onto the table. He started throwing a tantrum when they were done giving us information and I sighed looking at him. I went by the store earlier and started making some homemade candy to see what could happen. I got up and started walking towards him as I handed him a lollipop.

"There," I said. He looked up at me all pouty and took it. He observed making sure that I didn't poison it or anything. 

"Why are you giving me this?" he asks.

"I made some candy and had some leftovers, you can have that one," I stated. He took off the wrapping and started giving it a taste. He smiled like an actual child compared to his usual cold self wanting to be known as a smart adult. He then went back to his usual self noticing that he broke his character.

"Hmph, It's alright," he said as I started walking out since the meeting was basically finished for me. I could feel some eyes staring at me and some chattering. They were probably still so curious on how I could heal Tornado, but as I said, I just could. 

After walking around for a while, I started walking off into the woods to see if that annoying Sonic dude would stop me again. It didn't take long until he appeared right in front of me. He grinned and opened his mouth ready to be cocky again. I covered his mouth.

"Just get to the point," I said. He removes my hand.

"What's your secret to being so...strong?" he worded it.

"Umm, I don't know. I just do stuff and became like this," I responded. "There's really no secret,"

He crossed his arms staring at me as I just looked at him. I could tell that he didn't believe me for one bit.

"Maybe I should spy on you to see if that's true or not!" he claims. I smacked his head as he flew back into a tree.

"Please don't," I responded walking deeper into the woods. He touched his painful forehead then grunted.

"I'm not letting you out of my sight!" he shouts following after me. I really didn't want him to follow me, but I guess a little comfort wouldn't be so bad. I put my arm over the back of his head as he had to lower himself a bit.

"I'll let you watch me on some conditions," I said.

"What are they?" he asked.

"No killing property or anyone unless you have too," I stated. "I think that you know what I mean even if it is pretty basic. If you listen then I'll even let you stay with me," 

I looked over at him with his shocked face.

"I'll take your offer," he says. I removed my arm and gave him a small lollipop. He stared at me as if I was a child or something. I lifted an eyebrow then slowly started to put it away, but he quickly grabbed it and stared at me. 

"You can think that I poisoned it or something, but I made it. You don't have to eat it," I claimed. He took off the wrapping and stuffed it into his mouth looking back at me. He was trying to prove that he wasn't a wimp. I looked and noticed that his hair was cut off. I remembered that Genos told me something about cutting off someone's hair. I started laughing and covered my mouth trying to stop.

"What's so damn funny!?" he says.

"I guess Genos was the one to cut off your hair," I stated. He looked angry then I placed my hand onto the side of his face. "Relax, I think it still looks nice on you," I pulled my hand away and smiled at him. He blushed and looked away. I turned back around and tugs him.

"Why are we turning around?" he asked.

"We're going back home," I said.

"Home...?"

I nodded.

"Welcome to your new home,"

I grabbed his hand and started walking back with him. He looked at our hands together and felt a little weird never doing this with anyone ever. 

"You're pretty calm for someone holding hands with an assassin," he says.

"I mean, I can easily beat you to the grounds. I'm not alarmed," 

He snorted a bit thinking that I was being cocky now.
