{MARINETTE'S POV}
ALYA AND I KNEW the perfect way to get our minds off of getting a date to the prom! After school, we're going to go home and work on our dresses together! Well, not really together, Alya is grounded by Nora for getting too close to an akumatized villain a handful of days ago. So, unfortunately, we won't be in the same room. But, we will be getting our dresses at the same time!
I'll be making my dress, and Alya is online shopping for hers. I'll tailor it for her if it doesn't fit. It's one-day shipping, so that's good, it'll arrive for her tomorrow morning.
I definitely need a long time of relaxing and designing, then making my dress. I'm so stressed. I really want to go to the prom with Adrien, but I don't really have the confidence to ask him out. Alya really thinks I can do it. Anyways, I plan on making my dress perfect!
Alya and I agreed we would bring our dresses to school tomorrow so we could give each other our opinions on each other's dresses. We wanna look amazing for this prom. Making good memories is always a good time.
So here's my idea for my dress. It will be a light pink color, and right above the knee length. The dress will be off the shoulder, with a large skirt part to it, to give it a "princess" design. It's going to be beautiful!

{THIRD PERSON POV}
After 7 hours of working on the dress, it was finally finished. And it was magnificently elegant. Marinette looked like a real princess in it. Marinette couldn't wait to show it to Alya.
-
The next day, at school, Marinette and Alya stayed a bit longer after school. Oblivious to Sabrina listening to them.
"Okay, girl. I expect your dress to be amazing. I hope you think mine is too!" Alya exclaimed.
"Alya! Your dress will be stunning. Okay! Let's show each other now." Marinette reached her hand into her backpack and so did Alya.
"3...2...1!"
Marinette and Alya both took out their dresses, and each of them gasped at the sight. Alya held up a stunning navy blue sleek dress that went to her knees.
"Alya!" "Marinette!" the two best friends said simultaneously.
They were both speechless. The girls proceeded to overflow each other with compliments and boost each other's confidence by miles. Marinette put her dress in her locker. She figured it would be safest there.
"I'm going to go to the bathroom before we leave the school" Marinette stated.
"I'll go with you!" Alya said.
-
Chloe and Sabrina were walking side by side but stopped before walking around the corner to the sound of Adrien's voice.
"I already have someone in mind to ask to the prom," Adrien said to Nino.
"Oh come on, dude! Give me a hint!" Nino begged.
"Well, she has blue hair, and-" Adrien started, but was stopped by Nino.
"I think I already know who you mean" Nino smirked.
"Oh perfect!" Adrien responded. And continued to talk, but that is all that Chloe bothered to listen to.
{ADRIEN}
I told Nino all about how I wanted to ask somebody to prom, I think from what he said, he knows who I mean.
But then I also had to tell him about how Father is making me ask Lila. It sucks, and he agrees with me. I can't believe this! And I really thought Father cared about me for once. But no, he just wants me to do what he says and that's it.
School was normal today. By normal, I mean occasional glances at Marinette, and not paying attention to the class much because I already know most of it. It felt like a short day. I left school after my conversation with Nino.
Sometimes I wish life could be more normal like this. I want to be a normal teenager, not a teenager treated like a little boy and kept under his own roof.
At least being Chat Noir is my way to escape all this.
{THIRD PERSON POV}
Chloe was enraged. "Ugh! Adrien is going to choose some blue-haired freak over me? How dare he?" Chloe complained to Sabrina.
Sabrina replied, "I think he's talking about Marinette, Chloe. And I overheard Marinette talking about keeping her dress in her locker. Maybe we could-"
"We could ruin Dupain-Cheng's dress as sabotage!" Chloe interrupted. "My ideas are spectacular, aren't they?"
Sabrina sighed and said, "Yes, Chloe."
Sabrina and Chloe made their way to Marinette's locker. It was slightly opened the tiniest bit, enough for Sabrina to budge it open.
Marinette was too excited to notice that she hadn't securely closed the locker.
Sabrina found scissors in the locker as well, Marinette was a fashion designer after all, and cut up the dress after removing it from its bag. Sabrina then closed the locker, and Chloe and she began to strut away, Chloe had the biggest ear-to-ear grin on her face. That was when Marinette and Alya exited the bathroom. Chloe was surprised they were still here, but Chloe decided she could use this to her advantage, for the suffering of Marinette.
"Marinette! I happened to hear that you made yourself a dress. Could we please see you with it on?" Chloe said, putting on an angelic face.
Marinette thought that was weird, but she would love to show off Chloe how beautiful her dress was.
"uh, sure?" Marinette answered with a confused tone.
Marinette took the dress out of her locker without taking it out of the bag. She took it to the bathroom so she could try it on, and closed the door, and locked it. When she took it out of the bag, it seemed normal. However, when she tried it on, Marinette was fuming with anger.
She repeatedly punched the bathroom door from the inside, scaring Chloe and Sabrina. Chloe didn't realize how angry Marinette would really be until she actually found out.
Alya was really concerned. It sounded like Marinette was getting attacked in there or something!
"Marinette?!" Alya yelled.
By the time Marinette got outside of the bathroom, Chloe was fearing her life. Chloe and Sabrina ran away while Marinette yelled "How could you??" and started to cry.
To Alya's shock, when Marinette came out of the bathroom, she wasn't wearing her dress. Instead, she was holding it up, revealing how it was full of cuts. Marinette dropped to her knees and cried.
"Alya, what am I supposed to do now?" Marinette asked between sobs. "My dress is ruined! I worked on it for hours! How will I ever go to the prom with Adrien now??"
"Don't worry girl. you can still ask him out!" Alya said. "I believe in you, and who cares about what Chloe or anyone else thinks?"
"Thanks, Alya. I guess I'll have to work my butt off to make another dress. I'm going to be exhausted." Marinette sighed.
"You can make it even better this time. Put Chloe in her place and get your man!" Alya yelled in an inspiring tone.
"My m-man? Thank you, Alya." Marinette replied.
And the two of them finally went home, Marinette in the comfort of Alya's motivational words and welcoming presence.
