ARE YOU LOOKING DOWN ON ME?

not in the slightest, baby.

of course, the class could not hear what the pair said during their battles, the only exception being all might with his headset, but they saw their facial expressions, which vaguely gave away the conversation. the new kid, calm and collected, a small smirk on her porcelain face. and their class hot head, an angered and irritated expression morphing his features to face his other supposed childhood friend. they had no idea what was happening, but they felt as if it wouldn't end well.

THEN USE ALL OF YOUR POWER ON ME. DO YOU THINK I'M WEAK?❞ the ash-blond boy yelled, jabbing his thumb into his chest, ❝I CAN HANDLE ANYTHING YOU THROW AT ME.

all the multi-color haired girl could do was sigh and shake her head, almost as if in disappointment. she gazed into his eyes, searching his pools of red, finding all the insecurities and thoughts that wrecked havoc in his mind on the daily. she managed a small smile. not because she wanted him to suffer, but because she knew him. she has seen the real him. and she knows that she could never look down on him.

if that is what you think.

after her words effectively provoked him, bakugou charged at the shorter girl with a harsh battle cry, explosions crackling at his palms as he gave her a deadly glare. the class was on the edge of their metaphorical seats, worry and concern plaguing their minds. l/n hadn't made a move and her opponent was only a few feet from her, the blasts giving her skin a godly shine. she looked ethereal.

yet, before the explosive boy could reach her, before the simmering and blistering heat of his explosions could do her harm, he was slammed into a nearby wall, his arms and legs being restrained, the wall cracking because of the powerful, unknown force. he angrily shouted, fear in his eyes as well as frustration, ❝WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS, HALF&HALF? WHAT'S GOING ON?

the girl strode in front of him, her eyes blank and devoid of any sign of emotion, the only thing present on her face being a small smile. her classmates have never felt so uneasy.

dark matter cannot be seen.

l/n  y/n  had  won  that  round  with  ease.
