Everything hurt.
That was the first thing Percy Jackson realized as he sat up in the bunker beneath bunker nine. His arms seemed to burn and his legs failed him, but his head screamed out in pain.
Just think. What did he know?
He knew that his name was Percy Jackson. He was beneath bunker nine. He had made a mistake by going against Kronos, something he paid dearly for when she broke his heart. But now Leo Valdez has given him a second chance.
Only one problem about always being paired with him, he was smoking hot.
Technically, he could mean it literally (the guy was always playing with his fire powers) but he meant it differently.
Maybe it was the way his elfish ears stuck up from his curly brown hair that made his heart stop, or maybe the smile that seemed to brighten the world.
Whatever it was, Percy definitely had a crush on Leo.
Leo was by his side, holding onto his hand and worrying. He kept muttering and making sure he didn't do anything wrong.
Percy sat up slowly, "h-hey Leo. What's up?"
"Nothing Perce," Leo smiled, though it seemed like there was something.
"What?" Percy asked softly, "what's wrong, Leo?"
The elfish boy seemed to squeeze percys hand even further, "I just-I thought you wouldn't make it. You just past out, so I didn't know,"
Although the raven haired boy knew there was more, he didn't press further. He couldn't press further.
It wasn't like he knew why, but it felt like something inside him was shut off, and it prevented him from asking more.
"Let's go get nico, today's the best day to get Luke our, the day he died," Percy said, grabbing a vial.
"You should do it, I feel like he would talk to you over me," Leo explained. "I'll stay back and get things ready for when we leave,"
"Got it,"
Percy walked toward the hades cabin, knocking on the door. When Nico opened, Percy stepped inside. "I need to talk to I you privately, is there anyone else here?"
"No, is something wrong?"
"Yeah, your not on kronos's side,"
With that, Percy injected the liquid into Nico, watching as he collasped. "You follow kronos. You worship Kronos. You will do anything to help, and if you are away from me, Leo, or Kronos for too long, you will die. You cannot tell us no, and always want to help us, no matter the cost. Whenever we say the words Prideful Pancakes you will forget everything about your past, and become a emotionless soldier,"
After a few moments, Nico stirred. Black met green as Nico stared, "Hello master Percy. What can I do to help you today?"
Percy smirked, "Raise Luke from the dead. And after me, Leo, and Luke leave, block camp from coming before heading back to kronos,"
Nico nodded and after a few hours, Luke snuck over to bunker nine. Percy drew him into a hug and smiled, "kronos will rise,"
The two boys in front of him laughed at the chant they were supposed to recite, "the gods will fall. And we will save all,"
