"I believe you," Leo whispered, pulling Percy into the hallway. "We need to go, now,"

"What? Why do you suddenly believe me?"

"Reasons you don't understand, but don't think I'm not still mad at you,"

"Fine,"

They snuck out at night, bags packed with the bare essentials needed for survival.

When they made it far enough from the base, the two set up camp.

It had been a few weeks since the two boys went on the run. They hadn't talked much since they left, besides the fact of food or other survival things.

The experience that would've drawn most people close and only driven them further apart.

The sea green boy sat by the fire, trying to think of a way to talk to Leo without making it worse. He was so lost in his thoughts he didn't realize that Leo had walked up and sat next to him.

"Hey," the elfish boy said.

Percy gave a slight blush before decomposing himself, "hey,"

"I owe you an apology. I should've never reacted how I did. I should've known you cared about him too,"

"No, I should've been more careful, it is my fault that he's dead. And I-I uh- I hate that fact, but it is my fault,"

"It's not your fault. And I shouldn't have brought up Grover, I was just hurting so much,"

"Leo, none of this is your fault,"

Without realizing what he was doing, Percy wrapped his arms around Leo, pulling the elfish boy close.

Leo looked up and brought his lips close to Percy, "none of this is your fault," he whispered.

Then he locked his lips on percys, only pulling away after a long, long, extremely long moment.

"Percy?"

"Yes?" Percy asked, still dazed from the kiss.

"There's another reason I came out of my tent. I need to tell you the truth,"
