The forgotten gem

Chapter 1

Tanzanite was strolling around homeworld. She wasn't really noticed, everyone was always too focused on the diamonds. Unfortunately, something went wrong. Instead of talking about White Diamond as per usual, everyone was whispering about Pink Diamond. She was acting off...

Though, for Tanz this was no time to catch up on gossip. She placed her pedestal down and grabbed the attention of as many gems as she could. She began preaching about a 'free' world. One without the diamonds in charge.
"Just imagine it! We wouldn't have to answer to anyone! The pearls would be free! I know everyone wants it, whether they're ready to admit it or not."

At the end of her speech, there was a long pause. After it, people were laughing at her, calling her names. The only one who wasn't was Pink Diamond from her window. Tanz glanced up at her, Pink Diamond noticed and quickly moved away from her window. From what she could see, Pink was moved by her speech.

A day had passed, everyone had returned back to gossiping. It upset her to think that everybody didn't care about being free. Well Everyone except someone called 'Rose Quartz' and a Pearl from the palace. She thought it was a bit suspicious for a rebellion leader to hang out with a palace pearl.

After many days of preaching, they gathered a small resistance force called the crystal gems. Lots of people joined the resistance, but not the crystal gems. They said it was too much of a promise for them. Soon enough, they had gathered an army to counter the diamonds. During this period of time, Pink Diamond had been shattered by Rose Quartz and Pearl.

Despite that, the Crystal Gems and Rose were like family. They would lay down their life for each other.
