"The sword, it had a homeworld pattern on it." The tall one said glancing at me as I'd woken up. Pearl spoke loudly, "Steven! What were you doing with a homeworld gem?! You could have been shattered!" Steven looked like he was upset.
"Calm it Pearl. You're upsetting the kid. Now let me out of these chains. I won't hurt Steven. Besides, you really think that I'd get him? It's Rose Quartz I'm after." I said. Steven shuffled back, Pearl and a small purple gem guarded him. The tall one was untying me and introduced herself and the purple one.
"Garnet huh? You're not a natural gem, are you?" I stood up Garnet returned to the others.

For a while there was silence, I paced around the temple and picked up a glass figurine of Rose. I purposely dropped it and Pearl scrunched her face up. I sensed her discomfort and used my powers to put it back together, unfortunately there was a tiny crack in it like my gem. It was barely noticeable.
"Look, I may be threatening and out to shatter her. But I'm not disrespectful."

I then turned sharply towards them. They each got a weapon out, ready to defend themselves. Pearl got a sword. Amethyst, a whip. Garnet, some gloves. Steven, a sword and shield. He used it to surround the gems in a bubble.
"Woah! No need for hostility-" That last part of 'hostility' trailed off as I saw Rose's shield and sword come out of the boy. I gave him a puzzled look, as they all withdrew their weapons,
"You don't look like Rose Quartz. To the best of my knowledge, gems can't have children. They only can if they give up their physical form..."

I shattered some glass and used my gem to encase the gems protecting Steven. I threw them aside as I walked towards him.
"Rose?" I asked unsteadily.
He looked at me awkwardly, "Not really? I'm Steven, her son."
