The forgotten gem

Chapter 4

For the next few thousand years, I was a space pirate. One of the most wanted.

I hopped on a ship, and dropped the Lapis and Ruby on the nearest moon. I decided not to change he course. They were headed for a planet called 'Earth'.
"Isn't that supposed to be a colony by now?" I asked myself, "Guess the Diamonds were merciful on the inhabitants".

After a few hours of rummaging through the luggage on board the ship, I reached Earth. It was bigger than I had expected. I grabbed the wheel and steered it down into a forest. Unfortunately, the landing wasn't nearly as smooth as I'd hoped and I landed with a loud crash.
Surely this must have caught the attention of at least a few people in the city next to the forest.

I looked down at my violet skin and indigo dress I'd stand out a bit too much if I went out like this. I grabbed a cloak off of the chair I was sat on and wrapped it around me. I also put some baby blue gloves on, luckily they went up to the end of my sleeve. Though, the had a hole on the left hand, right where my gem was.

I stepped out and walked towards the nearest city. I saw a huge sign saying 'Beach City'. I'd heard rumours about a group of gems in beach city. Keeping that in mind I walked towards a small human, in the hope of asking for directions.

I went up to him, he looked at me and smiled, "You know there's no need for the cloak, Beach City has a group of gems." I giggled and took it off, revealing my lilac hair and violet skin. I realised I was about eye level with him. Just then, a gem ran up beside him and panted, "Steven! I've been looking for you all over beach city!" She breathed before a few more gems stood beside her. This startled me and I pulled out a sword from my gem.

The first gem looked at me, in an instant we recognised each other. We stared before I put my sword to her gem, "YOU! You're a crystal gem!" I was held back by the gems that were beside her and was knocked out by a punch from the tall one's gloves.
