A war broke out on homeworld. The resistance had stood their ground. After Rose and the diamonds didn't reach an agreement they both ordered their armies to attack. Despite being outnumbered, the resistance was just as strong as the diamonds.
#Tanzanite POV
I summoned some nunchucks out of my gem. I prepared for the fight homeworld would bring. Sure enough, the war started. I wore a metal glove on my left hand to protect my gem. As did the rest of the Crystal Gems. I looked over to see Pearl nearly shatter a Sapphire, who had nothing to do with the fight. But a Ruby jumped in the way. In a flash of light, they weren't there anymore. Instead of them there was a tall mix of a Ruby and Sapphire.
Just then, I realised I was on the wrong side. I was laying down my life for Rose. When I should have done it for Pink Diamond. Pink showed no sign of wanting to rule, she only had an unpredictable temper. Right then was my calling to switch sides. Whether I betrayed my closest friends or not, I wanted to fight for the right cause. That was the day I swore to destroy any Crystal Gem I saw.
I turned to my friend, Amber, who was fighting alongside me. Tears rolled down my face as my nunchucks transformed into a sword.
"W-what are you doing?" Her voice was shaking. I looked her in the eyes,
"I'm sorry, Amber...". Then I plunged my sword through her forehead, shattering her gem. The pieces fell into my hands and I dropped to the floor. I had to do it, it was for the greater good.
