Coming back from my third date with Charles and also ending it "you're not emotionally connected to me" his words not mine I liked him but I am still not sure I want to jump into a relationship with anyone now I only tried with him cause my best friend and colleague said I should try I am just trying.
I switched on my phone and found so many voice messages and text messages from my aunt (not related) I clicked on the first message

Marlyn ur mum was just involved in a ghastly accident u need to come to crest falls now ASAP.
I jumped out of the car immediately ran into my apartment ignoring Charles packing and sending Brie a message to send the remaining of my things to Ohio I think I need to return home now am leaving California for good I need to stay with my mum almost everyone who has my number sent the voice saying the same thing I can't lose my mum she is all I have controlling my trembling fingers I summoned the courage to to pack my necessary clothes and toiletries and my make up bag as I was about closing my bag Brie entered with her beautiful brows kneaded with concern
"Marlyn are u okay should I drive u to the airport?" Brie asked with her voice laced with concern I nodded my head for her to help me take my bag to the car trunk I said down at the passenger seat . Had already booked for a flight thanking my stars that I was able to catch a flight which was going to Ohio when I get there I will rent a car to crest falls I controlled my nerve saying my favorite quote over and over again in my head
