Chapter 20: Christmas

Narrator's pov

Today is December 25, 1888 today is Christmas, Izzy and Dr. Jekyll greet themselves a 'Merry Christmas' to them, to Poole, Dr. Jekyll let him take a day-off for the most part it was Izzy's favorite holiday of the year Izzy went to the book store to buy something for Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde

For Dr. Jekyll, she bought a three books for him first it was a Sci-fiction story, second it was a romance story, and third it was a poem all about Science, Love, and Friendship also she bought a new test tube because she broke Dr. Jekyll's test tube so she have to buy him a new one whether he likes it or not he had no choice

For Mr. Hyde, she bought him 10 knives because whenever she enters the kitchen and cook some meals she always spotted that some of the knives are missing and she knew who stole them from the kitchen, then she bought a new coat, hat, and cloak and of course it was black

After she was done buying those things she wrap them on a box instead of a gift wraper because there two many stuff she bought for those two men she met, she place the boxes on Dr. Jekyll's room and waited for him to come home

Dr. Jekyll's pov

I went at Dr. Lanyon's house to greet him a 'Merry Christmas' I already buy a gift for Izzy, I bought some books for her since she was inside and outside to visit the bookstore so often, I buy her 4 books a romance, a true life story, a investigating story, and a book all about some poems

Anyways, I reached at my destination ( which means Dr. Lanyon's house ) I knock on the door then Belatrix open the door she was so surprise when she saw me at the entrance of the door

Belatrix: " Henry! My goodness you scared me there, here come in"

She open wide the door then I enter the house, I take off my hat and cloak and put it on the hanger that was side of the entrance of the door then I follow Belatrix at the living room where Mr. Utterson, Mr. Enfield, and Dr. Lanyon are talking and laughing at some jokes and conversation they look at me when I enter the room with a wide smiles on there faces we hugged each other

Belatrix: " wait... where's Izzy? "

Dr. Jekyll: " oh, she's at my house after she graduated from college she decided to live with me "

Belatrix: " wait right here Henry I'll be right back "

Belatrix walk away from the room, I sat down on a chair right next to Mr. Utterson

Dr. Lanyon: " Jekyll, you seem have a close relationship with Izzy ever since we met her and after the masquarade ball "

I blush when he said about out dance that time at Belatrix's birthday I still remember that day until Hyde ruined out night there I cleared my throat and said:

Dr. Jekyll: " *blush* i-it's just that I j-just met her when she ask me about E-Eddie's will "

Mr. Utterson: " do you want to talk about it "

Dr. Jekyll: " well... let's see, she's just a quiet student but an adventurious one she dosn't talk that much to strangers nor his classmates or all of you except for me "

Mr. Enfield: " because you're the only one who she can rely on "

Belatrix: " I'm back! "

Belatrix yelled and came back to the living room with something on her hand, she gave me this thing that I don't know what it is

Belatrix: " in case your wondering that's from Izzy, a coat, and a cloak and she told me that her favorite color is purple so I gave her his a purple one I hope the coat will fit for her "

Dr. Jekyll: " thanks, Izzy gonna love it, now I have to go now Izzy might be worried about me "

We said out 'goodbyes' then exit the house straight to my house to meet Izzy

Izzy's pov

I'm at Dr. Jekyll's room to read a book that I found on the shelf until I heard a slam of a door, I went downstairs to see Dr. Jekyll covered in snow ( not too much snow ) he removed his shoes, his hat, and coat onto the hanger

Izzy: " woah, you seem have rain some snow on you "

Dr. Jekyll: " *chuckle* I just drop by at Dr. Lanyon's house "

Izzy: " c'mere let's go to the fire place just to spices things up "

Dr. Jekyll chuckled at my joke, I led him at the fire place, we sat on the chair until I stand up and said to him:

Izzy: " I'm just gonna get something please wait "

I walk away from him and went upstairs to get the gifts, I went at downstairs to give him the gifts first he open his gift he giggled when he saw a new test tube and for the books too

Dr. Jekyll: " why did you buy me a new test tube? "

Izzy: " why not, I broke your's so I buy you a new one "

Dr. Jekyll: " *chuckle* and you really have to buy a gift for Hyde "

Izzy: " open it "

He open the gift and he laugh at what I just buy for Mr. Hyde which I get it

Dr. Jekyll: " *laughs* really Izzy? 10 knives why did you buy 10? "

Izzy: " c'mon some of the knives are missing so I buy 10 knives for him "

Dr. Jekyll: " anyway, here Belatrix gave me this just for you "

He handed me a coat and a cloak color purple which made me smile so much

Dr. Jekyll: " oh and could you please return this on the bookstore I forgot to return it "

Izzy: " ok "

I stand up and wore the coat and cloak that Belatrix gave me then I exit the house

Dr. Jekyll's pov

Since Izzy left the house I look to stare at my hands then I said to Hyde who is already there ( he could feel that he was there ):

Dr. Jekyll: ' alright Hyde, Izzy's gone you can come out now "

I close my eyes, I could feel the pain all over my body I groan then everything in my view turn to black

Mr. Hyde's pov

I open my eyes to see that Jekyll had fallen on the floor because of the pain when I transformed, I grab the hat, coat, and cloak that Izzy gave me then went to the rooftop to open the lights that me and Jekyll had planned before Christmas but Jekyll consider this as my gift to Izzy

Mr. Hyde: " alright, I've already test this yesterday so I hoped this work today and not be broken like those lights that I've collected months ago "

I grab the extendtion to light on the lights it said 'MERRY CHRISTMAS, SWEETHEART' after that I jump roof to roof to find and follow Izzy of where she's going just in case that Allan had already launch his plan today

I spottes Izzy at the street with a surpise look on her face when she noticed the lights which made me grin a little, then I fall down to catch then jump at one of the roof of the house not everyone not even a single soul notice my move

I let her go from my grip she didn't recognize me since I scoop her off the crowrd, but then she realize it was me and she even realize that I plan about the lights out there

Mr. Hyde: " did you like it? "

Izzy: " yes! I didn't know you and Dr. Jekyll had plan this "

Suddenly the lights turn on and off throughout the streets of London which made Izzy worried and scared, I hold her hand and I gritted my teeth. I knew it, I knew that Allan already launch his plan now this very moment

Izzy: " what's going on? "

Mr. Hyde: " Izzy, come with me I'll show the place "
