(Next morning)

I only had one class which started at 12 and lacrosse today because my other professor called in sick.

I woke up and stayed in bed scrolling through social media for a bit. Shit was crazy protests everywhere.

The one thing that pissed me off the most was that the news always made the protesters look bad. They asked for it, people were peacefully protesting and no one listened.

Now that there are riots and fires, Its getting national attention. America isn't the dream people overseas see it as, my cousins back in my country always have dreamed about living here its not as amazing as it seems, especially as a colored person.

Sure there are more opportunities, but I bet if I were to apply for a job and a white person was applying too, they would get the job.

I wish I could speak up. But I'm only 19, I'm a girl, I'm colored. No one will listen, I wanna be heard. Sadly I don't have any motivation. I wanna speak up for girls. We get treated like objects, Like robots, If we dress up its "To extra" and if we dress in comfortable clothes we seem like we've
"Let ourselves go" and if we wear something to revealing we're "Asking for it". Fuck this shit.

I got up and stretched my arms as I yawned. I sat there for a moment before going into the bathroom and showering.

I blasted Brent faiyaz's new album as I lathered my skin with cherry blossom scented body wash.

After showering I put on sweats I couldn't find any sweatshirts but Ryders, so I just threw on a tee shirt and went downstairs.

My mom was at work and archer was at school. I poured myself a bowl of frosted flakes and watched outer banks.

After finishing my Cereal, I did some extra credit homework. Then got ready and went to college.

I couldn't really focus in class because I was to busy thinking about how weird lacrosse practice and training would be without Ryder.

When class finally ended I headed into the locker room to suit up, then headed out to the field.

Coach greeted me "Hey Aurora"

I sighed "Hey Coach"

"Oh meet your new trainer Ethan"

In front of me stood a questionable looking guy, you could easily tell he was a perv by the way he was checking me out.

I awkwardly smiled at coach

He smiled at both of us "Have fun"

Ethan smirked "Oh we will"

I raised my eyebrows as we walked off

"What the fuck did you just say?"

He sarcastically laughed "Nothing"

I was beyond pissed, where's Ryder for gods sake. At least he was a little respectful, I fucking hate this guy and now I have training with him after practice.

He threw the ball at me, I flinched. Out of anger. I walked to him with my lacrosse stick in my hand as I walked past him. I made sure the stick hit him right in the soft spot.

He gasped in pain. I smirked as I walked to coach to tell him I having "Girl problems" so I wouldn't have to deal with Ethan's pervy ass.

Before coach turned to look at me I made sure that I looked like I was in pain

He looked concerned

"What's wrong Aurora?"

I stuttered "I- I'm having really bad- girl problems"

I put my hand on my stomach

His eyes widened and he raised his eyebrows

"ohhh- well why don't you got home early"

I groaned "No no I'll just deal with it"

He looked worried

"No I insist go home and rest"

"Okay thank you so much"

I walked into the girls Locker room laughing, I love the "Girl problems" excuse, it works everytime.

I changed back into my normal clothes and headed out to the parking lot. When I got home I went straight to bed and took a nap.

(2 hours later)

I woke up to the beautiful sunset, I got up and went to my window to see how bright the pink and yellow sky was. I love spring its my favorite season.

Still No one was home so I decided to go take a walk. We lived on a hill the view was amazing. I decided to walked by the water to get a clear view of the sky.

As I walked closer to the water I noticed someone else was enjoying view too, It was Ryder.

I walked up to him "Hey Stranger"

He had his arms rested on the fence, he turned to look at me

"Hey"

We both turned to look at the water as the sky reflected on it. I noticed he had kept looking at the Ballerina tattoo on his arm.

I decided to ask

"That tattoo means a lot you huh?"

He looked at me with one eyebrow raised

"What?"

I looked at it "Your tattoo of the ballerina"

He shaked his head "Why are you so nosy?"

"Jeez I was just asking"

I rolled my eyes as We both turned to look back at the view.

I sighed

"Don't you find it crazy that in a world like this, there's so much evil and hatred."

He smirked a little

"That sounds like something my sister would've said"

I hesitated to ask "Is she-"

He cut me off "Yeah she's.. gone"

"I'm so sorry for your loss"

He turned to look at me and sighed

I was worried "Hey are you okay?"

He looked uneasy "I- I couldn't protect her"

He was vulnerable around me for the first time no attitude, no cold stare.

He continued "My dad died when I was young and my sister was just a baby. My mom was addicted to hard drugs and I was the only one taking care of her. My mom didn't care about us. It's my fault."

"Hey it's not good to trap unwanted emotions Ryder."

He disagreed "Its actually working for me crying over shit you can't fix is a waste of time."

I sighed "Still Ryder. It's not good to be bottled up all the time"

"Why do you care do much?"

I sighed "Cause I know how its feels, my dad left us when I was 8"

I didn't feel like telling him about the abuse or that my dad was a alcoholic with anger issues.

He cleared his throat

"So your dad just left that's it?"

I sighed "My life wasn't easy because my dad just got up and left. My mom worked her ass off to feed me and my brothers. I wouldn't even be here without her."

He raised is eyebrows

"Now you guys are on the right path.."

He analyzed my face, then his eyes shifted to my lips, he bit his bottom lip and looked deep into my eyes.

Little did I expect what was coming next....
