when you saw the tempozan
ferris wheel, your excitement
shot through the roof.

the thought of being so high up
in the sky did make you nervous
but knowing osamu was there
eased your worries.

you said your thanks and your
goodbyes to mr. and mrs. miya
and went with osamu to stand
in line, excited to experience
such a romantic cliche and see
osaka at night from high up.

"i'm so excited!"

you gave osamu's hand a
squeeze and let out a laugh.

"this is so exciting."

"i meanㅡ i'm so fucking
nervous but i'm so excited
at the same time!"

"i've always wanted to ride a
ferris wheel at night and sit
down with my crushㅡah it's
so romantic!"

osamu chuckled, shaking his
head.

miya osamu
"i'm glad you're excited."

miya osamu
"i was a little scared you
might not want to ride
the ferris wheel."

you laughed.

"i am scared, for sure, but i
find comfort in the fact that
you'll be there."

osamu smiled, playfully rolling
his eyes at your cheesy remark
before tugging you just a bit
closer to him.

you couldn't keep your eyes
off of the massive ride, its
lights shining [fav colour] and
[second fav colour].

it felt perfect, everything really,
and you wanted to pinch your
arm to make sure you weren't
dreaming.

however, the feel of osamu's
hand in yours was enough.

and the breeze of the night
which was getting much colder
as the time passed.

you didn't mind, though.

soon, it was your turn to board
a cart of the ferris wheel, lucky
enough to be claimed as the
last couple to take a ride.

you sat snug beside osamu, facing
away from the center of the ride
to see the view of the city.

"gah! look samu!"

osamu smiled, removing his
hand from yours to wrap it
around your waist as a way
to help you remain grounded.

he followed your line of
vision and took the time to
admire the beauty of the city
at night.

it seemed so basic to see
city lights but when it was with
you, having you snug by his
side, it felt like seeing the world
meant more.

your eyes sparkled as you
took in the liveliness of the city
through the lights, not daring
to get out of your seat as you
were scared to fall.

you grip on his thigh and the
hand that was around your
waist was rather tight, too,
but he didn't mind.

he found it hilarious that you
were in between absolute awe
and terror.
