that picked you up last time

you scoffed, shaking your head
at the two who were persistent
on learning more about your
intimate personal life just before
you were about to clock out.

"that wasn't my boyfriend."

"he was just picking me up."

"i wasn't talking about him."

(coworker)
"nope~ there's an even hotter
guy who had wavy hair and
when i tell you he looked so
good even with just a mask
on."

(coworker2)
"what! another hot guy?!"

you laughed.

"what do you mean no fair!"

"he's just a friend okay?"

"you guys can go shoot your
shot if you want. to either
both of them, really. i'm not
dating any of them."

you smiled and shook your head,
turning away from the both of
them and continuing to busy
yourself with wiping down the
counter.

"you got a boyfriend, didn't you?"

your two coworkers laughed,
having a blast teasing you and
seeing a cute blush spread on
your cheeks and ears.

just as you were about to answer,
the door of the shop opened and
all the attention was brought to
the incoming customer.

(coworker)
"hi! welcome to coffee hour!"

osamu smiled and nodded, eyes
momentarily glancing over at
you which made your blush worse.

(coworker2)
"your boyfriend dyed his hair
or something?"

you scoffed, threatening to use
the cloth you were using as a
weapon.

(coworker)
"oh shit, you're the guy who
picked y/n up! you here to
pick her up again?"

osamu's brows rose and he looked
as if he was about to say something
but your coworker had continued on.

(coworker)
"why'd you dye your hair again?"

(coworker)
"blond was cool but i guess grey
is just as cool."

osamu smiled.

"oh, no, that wasn't me."

your coworkers shared a confused
