Ryder really just is the sweetest mate. I just sit here and watch him make me food. Maybe I should talk to my mom. She seemed to have good intentions. But I mean who wouldn't freak out if they had found out the person they thought was their role model. Ended up being someone completely different. I guess I'll just have to accept it was done for me. I can't just be so damn selfish next time. I mean I probably really hurt my mom's feelings. Well damn. Suddenly Ryder asks "Baby what's got you thinking so hard over there. You look a little annoyed and undecided." I just stood there for a second. "I'm just thinking about how I need to forgive my mom. I mean she didn't do it to hurt me did she?" I asked very softly. Ryder put his stuff down and walked over to me. "Baby your mom didn't do this to hurt you. She did it to protect you. Your real mom trusted her with everything she had. That's why you were placed with her. Do you understand that even though you see your whole life as a lie. It was all to protect you?" He said ever so softly just so that I wouldn't get further upset. I thought for a second then looked at him and smiled softly. "You are right love. Let's find her after we eat okay?" He just chuckled. "Anything for you my love." We ate in peaceful silence. I decided to mind link my mom.
"Mom where are you? "
She responded "I'm in my room what do. You need?"
"Oh could you come down to the kitchen please we need to talk.
Sure be there in a second."
Ryder and I turned and waited for her to come down stairs. I was so nervous I was shaking. Ryder grabbed my hand and kissed my for head. "It'll be okay I'll be here the whole time princess." He said through our private mate mind link. I smiled at him and kissed his cheek and whispered "Thank you babe!" He just chuckled. Finally my mom came down stairs. Her eyes puffy and red. I frowned at her. I ran and hugged her. "Mom I'm so so so sorry. I know you wanted to protect me. I mean I was upset at first but I'm glad you took care of me. Don't ever think I'm not grateful for you. I love you mom please forgive me." I said in a broken voice. She squeezed me tight and said "Of course I forgive you I should have told you sooner anyway." I just laughed and Ryder came over and grabbed me in a big hug. "You handled that so well my little princess " I giggled "You gave me the courage love " He smiled big. My mom was just smiling at us. Maybe this whole werewolf thing isn't so bad after all..
