A Dangerous Turn

Mistakes

Lexandra's heels clicked on the pavement as she walked towards a half demolished building. Where her boss was conversing with a couple of her coworkers.
      She was class seven in her position. She had worked at shield for quite some time but the things she had to do now were very different for the past couple years. She looked around at all the destruction in the city where she was born and raised in. 
     After the attack. Lexandra was more open about all the threats there were in the world and even the universe. 
     When her sister went missing during the attack Lexandra felt, as everything was taken from her. Like her world was gone. They had won and there was nothing she could do about it. Helpless. Weak.
     "Ah Agent Begley, glad you could join us," Her boss Colson said. He was always optimistic and chipper even in the worst situations.
      Lexandra smiled as he went on about. Fixing the city and covering up the whole shield trying to nuke the city deal. 
     Lexandra definitely didn't expect Shield to try to go to such careless actions. It would have caused global outrage but nonetheless Lexandra didn't quit. 
     Lexandra was supposed to go evaluate the guy who started the whole attack Tomorrow. Lexandra besides being an agent of shield also worked as a psychologist for about nine years.
    As Colson finished chattering.Lexandra started to scan the area. Seeing glass and left over remains of buildings. She huffed as she walked on and on. Finding nothing but rubble.
   "How can one guy start all this,"Lexandra thought. "How could he have killed so many people without a guilty conscious," 
   Lexandra really wasn't looking forward to tomorrow but she was determined to get something out of him, to see it from his perspective even.
      She walked back to her boss. He was talking to someone who looked very familiar. He had short blonde hair that was slicked back. He was tall and very muscular with blue eyes. 
     Then Lexandra's thoughts clicked together. Her boss was talking to Steve Roger's. Lexandra couldn't believe Captain America was inches away from her. 
     "Oh Cap this is Agent Begley," Colson said with a bright smile. "She will be conversing with Loki Tomorrow,". Steve's smile brightened.
      "It's very nice to meet you Mrs Begley ," Steve said. Lexandra smiled at him.
       "And you as well Mr. Rogers,"Lexandra teased.
       "Oh please just Steve," He said. As his face got a little pink.
       Lexandra looked away from Steve quickly. She really didn't want that type of attention from anyone right now.
      As the day went along, Lexandra and Steve discussed how the next day would go.It started to get dark so Lexandra finally got her things to her car. She hopped in and drove back to her home.
         As she drove she got more and more nervous about the next day. She was going to be meeting an alien terrorist. How much weirder could it get. 
           Lexandra pulled up to her house and sat in the car for a couple minutes thinking of how she wanted to play her part for this.
           She got out of the car and headed to her front door. Her house was white brick with a gray roof. She had Rose's all around her house and a small garden with a pond in the backyard.
           She walked through her house setting her stuff down and throwing on her pink pajamas. She landed on the bed with a sigh of relief.
         "By Tomorrow night it will be all over, no big deal," Lexandra thought. Dozing off to sleep. When she woke up she slowly crept out of bed. Her hair sticking up and frizzing on the ends. 
        She huffed as she looked at the time she had an hour to get ready. She let out a long exasperated sigh. She pulled her hair into a neat bun and threw on her suit. 
         As she was getting ready a sense of dread washed over her. She was really nervous about meeting Loki. All she knew about him is he was Thor's brother, God of mischief, can shapeshift, and extremely dangerous. 
          She slowly made herself a cup of coffee walking into her living room. She looked at the clock to see it was time to head off to work.
           She never saw Loki in pictures or anything but she imagined him to look alot like Thor,maybe brown hair and blue eyes. Possibly even red eyes, this was an Asgardian after all. 
                 Lexandra then walked towards her car,taking a sip of her coffee. She then drove back to Shield. Her hands were shaking as she pulled up in Shields parking lot. 
                She took long breaths as she walked towards the building. As she entered the building she went through metal detectors and other agents.
               She eventually found Steve and Colson in the building. They talked her through what needs to be found out and led her to his cell. Which she would be going in alone. 
               As she approached the doors she saw a glow going through the cracks of the door. The doors slowly opened to a clear cell. A man with a green and black leather outfit stood in the cell with his back to Lexandra and them.
                There was a moment of silence as they moved towards the cell. His hair was long and coal black. He was tall and lean. 
                  There was a certain dryness in the air that stuck in Lexandra's throat. As they stopped at the front of the glass cell Loki slowly turned around.
                Lexandra's heart seemed to skip a beat. He was shockingly really handsome. His eyes were a crystal blue, with a sharp jawline and thin lips. 
              Colson nodded as one of the guards opened the cell door. With that Lexandra walked in. As much confident as she could. Loki slowly watched her as the door shut back.
              Lexandra then pulled up a chair for herself across from him.  She smiled as he seemed to stare right into her eyes.
               "Good evening Loki, my name Is Le
Agent Begley,"She stated.
                    Loki said nothing just stared her down. He walked closer to his chair and eventually sat down."Well Loki, you know why I am here, two of the infinity stones has went missing when you were taken into custody and I'm guessing it's no coincidence," Lexandra said.
                     A smile crept across Loki's face.He still said nothing to Lexandra. Lexandra felt chills go down her spin. She wanted to jump out of her seat and run home.
              "You know for someone with a large background and a knack for lying, you're not very talkative,"Lexandra said writing in her notebook.  
              "If I talk ,your acquaintances must leave, I find it rude for them to eavesdrop,"Loki stated. His voice, smooth and calm.
                Lexandras heart fluttered as he spoke. She hated whatever this feeling was. Colson and Steve were reluctant at first but eventually it was Loki and Lexandra with two guards.  
               "Are you ready to talk to me?" Lexandra said.Loki nodded as his smile crept back on his face. "Alright starting back to my first question," Lexandra stated.
                     "I know not where the tesseract or the mind stone are, the last place I assumed they would be is with the Avengers,"Loki stated.
                     Lexandra was shocked he even answered her. She wasn't the first person who has integrated Loki but he would never answer them. Even if it was a lie. He stayed silent. 
                    "Why is he being more open to talking with me?"Lexandra thought. She wrote down how he was behaving and speaking with her in her notes.
                        "So  may I ask you a question as well, if you don't mind,"Loki stated, staring directly into her eyes.  
                        She nodded accidentally looking him in the eyes. She quickly looked back at her notes. He smiled and moved closer to her. One of the guards moved closer.
                           She put up her hand and the guard stopped. Loki seemed to be very amused with her. "Most of the people who enter my cell are not as confident as you, nor do they trust me alone with them," Loki stated.
                             She looked up from her notes and made eye contact with him. He stopped for a moment. Dozing off a bit before smiling. What looked to be a genuine smile.
                                 Lexandra smiled back slightly."What makes you so sure of yourself, that I won't try anything?" Loki questioned. 
                                "I have a job to do, when I took this job I knew what I was getting into," Lexandra said.
                                Loki seemed to daze off again as his smile faded. Lexandra looked back at her notes. "Well if you don't mind, I have a couple more questions," Lexandra said. Breaking Loki from his thoughts. As he smiled again.
                              "When was it you first obtained the stones?" Lexandra questioned. Loki dazed off again as he tired to remember.It looked as if he was trying to put a puzzle together with a missing piece.
                           "It was when I first arrived to midgard, I can't seem to remember all of it," Loki said.
                           "That's alright Loki take your time, we still have twenty four minutes of the interview,"Lexandra stated. 
                           Loki smiled and seemed to relax. "Your companions are not as lenient or a caring as you seem to be, tell me is it an act you put on for your patients," Loki said. 
                            "I can reassure you it's not an act, you have been very cooperative for me, which is more then most of my patients," Lexandra said.  
                            Loki frowned. "Most of your patients are not as cooperative as I?," Loki questioned. 
                           "Well yes, let's get back to you though," Lexandra said. Colson and Captain America walked back into the room. Loki seemed to tense up again.
                             His genuine smile was replaced with a more sinister one. Lexandra stood up and walked over to the cell door. It opened slightly as she walked out. 
                          "It was a pleasure discussing with you,"Lexandra said.Loki said nothing.
