A Dangerous Turn

what have I to fear?

   “Alright then, do you recall the question you asked me about how I was given the stones,”Loki stated.               
             Lexandra nodded with a confused look. “Well I couldn't get over the fact I wasn't entirely honest with you,” Loki said in a whisper. Lexandra gave him a sideways glance. 
            “Well after a mishap in Asgard I found by a being named Thanos, I was in poor condition at the time and Thanos took advantage of that,” Loki stated pausing. “He used one of the stones to make me do his bidding including what happened in New York,” He said.                 “And this Thanos, why didn’t he try to take over earth himself?” Lexandra questioned.
                    “He is after a lot more than just Midgard, the only reason I am here was so the Avengers or any threat to his plans would be gone,”Loki said with venom in his voice. 
            “If Thanos wanted Midgard as you say it to be ruled by you and you were in his control, he still would be incharge of earth,”Lexandra said.
              Loki furrowed his eyes at her. “Why would he still want Midgard, he has everything else, why would he take something that isn’t his!” Loki said, raising his voice.
                                   “I could ask you the same,” Lexandra said standing up. “Now I’m getting tired so until we meet again,”. 
   “Until we meet again,” Loki said slowly fading away. Lexandra walked to  
her bedroom and threw on her pajamas. She landed on her bed wrapping her soft blanket around her. She turned off her lamp and stared at her doorway before slowly drifting off to sleep.                  The next morning Lexandra awoke early to get breakfast. She decided on going to a restaurant called Buvette. She always loved their coffee and waffles. To no surprise that's what she got.”Hey Lex, how are we doing on coffee?”Her friend Fran asked. Fran had worked there for sometime now. Lexandra was having a ruff day and Fran decided to talk to her and ever since they’ve been great friends. 
                  “I'm good franny, this is my last cup,”She said with a small smile. “Okay what’s up, you only come here when something's eatin ya,”She said, chuckling at her joke and Sitting down at the table across from Lexandra.

                              “It’s this new patient.I can’t really talk about it alot but I don’t like him one
bit,”Lexandra stated. Fran looked concerned. “He isn’t like your old patient is he?” She asked, pointing at Lexandra’s side. “What no, he is a lot calmer than my last patient,”Lexandra informed. “Ah well that’s good, well you keep safe,” Fran said, getting up. “Gotta get the next order,”. Lexandra left for work a couple minutes later. 
            She took the shortcut to her work today in fear of being late.”She seemed nice,” Loki bluntly stated.Suddenly appearing out of nowhere. Lexandra swerved the car out of her lane. “Gotta say I thought you were quite rude talking about me though, I thought I Made a good impression,”. Lexandra glared at Loki as she parked her car on the side of the road.
                                  “You couldn’t have waited ten more minutes to see me! You almost caused me to wreck,”Lexandra shouted. Lexandra held her head and sighed. “What’s so important?!” She questioned as Loki grinned. “I need your help,”He said. Lexandra got back on the road. “Thanos is planning to get all the stones,he has already got two and if he gets the other three he will erase fifty percent of all life,”Loki rushed through his words.                                 “How exactly can I help stop any of that?” Lexandra questioned annoyed. Loki begins to speak as Lexandra interrupts. “No,”. Loki smiled. “Fine, see you soon then,”Loki stated, disappearing. She parked in her usual spot and went through the security scanners.Steve was waiting for her, past the scanners. “Morning Ms.Begley,”Steve said. She smiled and followed him  to Loki’s cell. Dreading every footstep closer.
    
                  When she arrived outside his cell. Loki was already sitting down with a bright smile plastered on his face.She walked into his cell as Steve again reluctantly walked out of the room.She sat down in her chair across from him. He rolled his eyes as she pulled out her notebook. “Alright Loki let’s discuss how you are feeling today,”Lexandra smiled.
                 Loki scoffed. “Amazing! I'm just jumping with joy to be locked up in a cell all day,” he said. “Well yes, I think you have plenty of things you keep occupied with,”Lexandra said, annoyed. “If you do keep up the good behavior I could get you a couple of books,”She smiled.
            Loki nodded.She wrote down some popular book names in her notes. His smile faded.”Why do you persist on writing everything down,”He argued. 
             “It’s just so I can have details of important things I want to look over again, I assure you no one sees this besides me,”Lexandra looked up to see Loki was no longer in his chair. “Are you sure of that,” He said appearing behind her. She shut her notes. “Yes because not everyone can appear and reappear in different areas in a matter of seconds,” Lexandra informed. 
            He appeared back into his seat again. Smiling at Lexandra.
                    Lexandra couldn’t wrap her head around Loki. No matter what she tried and came up with multiple situations, nothing really fit the description.”What were his motives?”She thought. “So When you were in possession of both stones, where were they last located,” Lexandra questioned. “We’ve discussed this,”Loki whispered, aggravated looking around.                 “And you expect me to believe you,” Lexandra stated. Loki stayed silent staring at her. There was rage building up she could only see in his eyes. “Am I supposed to be scared,” She said, bracing herself to fight.                                     “I Guess not, but when it happens and everything you love disappears don’t come to me,”Loki mocked. Lexandra looked him in the eyes. “What is that supposed to mean,”She said. She had already lost everything. “Well either you will be killed  by the infinity stones or people you know or love will be,” Loki stated smiling. Lexandra gripped on her chair. Trying her best to not punch Loki.
             “Why tell me, what can I do?”Lexandra asked, calming herself. Loki’s smile faded. “We need to get the Tesseract and Mind stone,” Loki stated in a hush stone. Lexandra rolled her eyes. “I don’t trust the Avenger’s by telling them this, they’re reckless and would get me killed,”Loki said. Lexandra shook her head.
            “So you're trusting just me instead?” She questioned, concerned. Loki looked at her. “Yes,” He stated. “You're gonna get me fired, you're gonna get me in prison,”Lexandra said, aggravated. 
            “All you have to do is get me the first two stones and I’ll be out of your hair forever,”Loki said. “As tempting as that is I’m not doing it,” Lexandra stated, getting up. “Try to convince the Avengers or someone to help, I’m sure saving the universe is right up there alley,”She said as the cell door opened. All of a sudden Loki was in front of her. She jumped away as he grabbed her. “Tried asking nicely but we’re doing this,” Loki said as a guard held his gun up.
              “Loki let go of Agent Begley now,” One of them yelled as they pointed the guns at him. He quickly put lexandra in front of him as they lowered their guns down but slowly moved closer. She pulled as hard as she could but every time his grip got tighter.
            Lexandra started smacking and kicking.He just smiled as she did so, not  seeming to faze him in slightest. “Let me go!” She shouted. He dragged her through the room as he started walking towards the men. “Loki return to your cell and let Agent Begley go,”Steve said walking in the room. As the alarm started to go off.
                  Loki let go of Lexandra and charged at Steve. Steve swung his shield at Loki’s head as it barely missed him. Loki punched Steve square in the face. Lexandra backed up close towards one of the guards. Steve grabbed Loki’s arm and tossed him to the floor. Loki hit the floor with thud. He then swooped his leg around knocking Steve down. Getting up Loki smiled at Lexandra. Steve then pulled Loki back down, trying to punch him down. Loki caught his fist and slammed Steve's elbow into his face. Steve fell back .
         Loki laughed victoriously and grabbed Cap's shield.”This time you don’t have anyone to help you,” Loki mocked.  He smacked the shield against his head, causing him to go unconscious. He dropped the shield in front of Cap.                                                  He smiled and walked towards Lexandra.Amor slowly started to appear with a green glow that surrounded  Loki. The guard fired at him as he stopped and smirked, the bullets bouncing off his gold armour. The other guard ran over to Steve trying to wake him up. Loki grabbed the gun out of the guards hand and threw it in the cell. Lexandra backed away into the wall. As she watched the guard fly into the air and into the cell as well.He crashed on the floor with a loud thud.
  The other guard started firing his gun as the alarm got louder. Lexandra heard
more guards running towards the room. She watched the other guard go flying into the cell as the door closed. Loki quickly grabbed Steve’s shield, as he slowly morphed looking exactly like Steve. Steve was transformed into Loki and was picked up off the floor. 
              Ten guards bursted  into the room as Loki looked at Lexandra. She looked down feeling her rage build up. “Roger’s you alright,”Colson said, walking in the room. 
                     “Yes,I’m fine, someone let the guards out of Loki’s cell,” Loki said, putting on Steve’s voice as he dragged the real Steve near the cell.                                  “Lexandra I’m so sorry this a mishap happened again, we will get someone else to speak to Loki,”Colson said, apologizing as he put his hand on her shoulder. She started to say something as Loki interrupted her, laying Steve into Loki’s cell. 
          “Yes, Lexandra if you ever need anything or need to talk I'm here alright,” Loki said pausing. “With that being said we need to talk about Loki’s behavior,”Loki motioned her to come with her. She nodded and walked with him shaking. They walked straight through the building and the parking lot saying nothing. 
        As soon as They got in Lexandra's car. Loki turned back into himself. “I absolutely hate you,” She said, turning on her car. “Well good thing you’ll never see me again very soon,”Loki said. “Now hurry we have to leave before Captain America or the guards wake up,”.  Lexandra smacked him as hard as she could. “ You're quite the fiesty one,”Loki chuckled slightly. 
        “Shut up,”Lexandra said. Hitting her gas pedal and quickly driving off.  “I need to get my things,”Lexandra aggressively said. “What? No, didn’t you just hear me,” Loki stated, annoyed. “Fine, yeah I get it, I don’t have any option anyway i'm guessing,” She swerved on the main road. “Where to then?” Lexandra questioned.                                     “We need to go into hiding for a while, so somewhere not to close around here but still near the Stark tower,” Loki said. “So a hotel?” Lexandra asked. “Yes, we will have to have different appearances and names,” He said. “Where are you going to put the stones, where Thanos can’t get them?” Lexandra asked. 
        “I don't know yet but I'll figure it out in time,” Loki said, unsure. “Ok but I guess by that time it’s not my problem,”Lexandra said. They stayed in silence for a bit. Until Lexandra’s phone started to ring. Loki grabbed it and chucked it out of her car. “Hey, what was that about,”Lexandra yelled. 
        “Shield was tracking your phone, it would be rather simple to do given the already were trying to contact you,” Loki said as he looked back to see five black cars behind them speeding up. “Take another route and try to lose them,” Loki demanded. 
           Lexandra sped up the car and swerved on a different route. They sped up behind them. As they started moving closer, she spun around and faced the car’s. Moving straight for them. “What are you doing!?”Loki yelled.
