A Dangerous Turn

A tricky friendship?

        Loki weakly chuckled holding up his head. “I made us invisible,” Loki said bluntly. “That’s the longest I’ve ever done it,”He admitted. He wobbled a bit before he looked over to Thor. He  walked around quickly across from them. Loki started walking to the fence and hoping over it. Lexandra did the same landing on a sidewalk. 
        Lexandra then realized they were in Washington. “We will have to find a place to find the mind stone today, Before Shield comes and takes the shield back,” Lexandra stated.  Loki nodded and turned a corner in front of  the government building the Mind Stone was located in. 
         Loki confidently walked towards the building. Lexandra got nervous because they weren’t changing into anything. All of a sudden there were six guards pointing guns at Loki. His smile brightened as he walked closer to the building. Lexandra didn’t move. 
       Loki sighed and pulled a dagger out on Lexandra. The guards shouted and moved closer to Loki. “Fire away, the only thing you will kill is what you're supposed to protect. “You're not getting the Mind Stone Loki,”Thor said behind them. Loki pressed the dagger closer to Lexandra’s throat. Her hands started to shake. “What is the maniac planning,” Lexandra thought. Loki laughed “I have the upper hand here, unless you and your friends want more blood on your hands,”Loki said.
        Loki started walking even closer to the entrance of the building and disappeared again, this time without Lexandra. The guards started walking towards her as Thor entered the building aggravated. “Loki!”He shouted. “Were gonna get you to safety,” One of the guards said. She nodded but before he could put his hand on her shoulder he screamed in pain. 
       Blood splattered everywhere as he hit the ground. Lexandra screamed, hitting her back on the wall of the building. One of the guards went flying through the air and landing one one of the columns going unconscious. She started running but pulled down. 
      Another guard  grabbed Lexandra pulling her up and started running. “I'll get Ms.Begley safe!” He yelled, running off with her. She panted and let the tears stream down her face. They hid behind the building, He looked around before looking at her. Lexandra broke down and hugged the man. “Thank you, thank you so much,” Lexandra cried. 
     He hugged her back. “Im sorry,” He said. She looked at him confused as he wiped away her tears.He grabbed her hand and started to run away from the building. “For what you just saved me?”Lexandra asked confused. 
    “I didn’t want you to see that side of me, but that’s all you have been seeing ,so I'm gonna get you safe,”He stated. She pulled away from him and stopped. “Loki?”She questioned, backing away. “You’ll be away from me soon, just please,”He stated holding out his hand.  She started to run back when she saw Thor pulling out what appeared to be Loki. 
      She started to laugh. “Oh man, you really scared me for a moment,”Lexandra said, turning around with relief.The guard didn’t laugh, he only looked annoyed. “You're not kidding?”Lexandra asked, feeling nervous. He shook his head no. “Then who is that,”She said pointing at Thor and the fake Loki. 
    “He is just a guard,”Loki said. She looked down sad. Then started walking towards Loki. She passed him walking back towards the ship. Loki followed.”Where are you gonna take me then?”Lexandra questioned. He looked at her sadly. “New york, back to your house,”He stated. 
    “What about the stone?” Lexandra asked, confused. Loki smiled and patted her on the shoulder. “I've got it,”He stated. “Wait really, but you were gone for only a second,”She said confused.” As soon as I took the dagger to your throat did you feel any type of pain?” He questioned. “No,” She stated. “I was already in the building by the time the guards arrived,”Loki chuckled slightly. 
     Lexandra rolled her eyes with a small smile. Then her smile faded, “Will he be alright?” She said, pointing to the guy he stabbed being pulled into an ambulance. “I didn’t stab him in any fatal places, he should be fine,” Loki said. She nodded. 
         “Well on to the next stone,”Lexandra said, walking towards the ship. Loki looked at her with shock. “Wait, no don’t you want to head home?”He asked.
