Himura Seiko knew this since the beginning. She knew she existed for nothing more than to propel Shigaraki Tomura to his true potential; to help him become Master's ultimate protege.

She was not born for her own purpose. She did not deserve her own choices. She was created for him, and him alone.

And yet, it was as if those damn UA children tainted existence. They gave her something, when Himura Seiko was given nothing. Master provided her empty promises, so Number Six was baffled when she was met with compassion and generosity from her peers at UA.

She was unfamiliar with that feeling of "friendship," and was further surprised when she admitted in the depths of her mind that it was something she enjoyed. Himura Seiko suppressed those emotions, desperately hiding her longing for something beyond the purpose she was created for.

But, the girl could not lie to herself. She could not lie to that ever-quelled conscience in her heart. In that strange soul that haunted Number Six's heart.

Because Nakano Seiko clung to hope. She allowed herself that petty, yet desperate selfishness.

Nakano Seiko wanted more.

die.

Himura Seiko didn't flinch, the swinging tendrils from her back protruding through the obscure hero that managed to stray a bit too far on his night-time scouts. His leaf-related quirk pathetically flung leaves towards the girl's face, only slicing into pieces as a Nomu crashed before her.

Within seconds, a number of Nomu surrounded her, following her silent command as they swarmed the gored man.

master said attack.

die.

Wiping away a speck of blood from her cheek, Himura's gaze remained detached, instead now glancing over at the figure that settled beside her.

"Well, that was fast." Dabi grunted, running a hand through his hair with a gruff scoff. "I already got the sidekick over near the northern boundaries."

A flurry of feathers suddenly landed around them—obviously for show—as Hawks landed beside the duo with a flourish. "Western boundaries are clear. And from the looks of it, good ol' Enigma here has the east and west all done~."

The girl stared ahead, watching as the Nomus rapidly scrambled around the hero, his mangled figure obscured by their gangly limbs. "There was no evidence of intentional investigation. These heroes only strayed too far."

Dabi shrugged. "Any use for them?"

"No."

With that, the Nomus dealt with the remains.

Hawks grimaced, covering his eyes with his palms. "And no mercy as always...nice."

Dabi rolled his eyes. "I'll keep watch for the rest of the evening. You two head back, and make sure you inform the higher-ups about the stray heroes. They're wandering close way too often, Enigma."

The villain didn't bother to wait for a reply, blue flames bursting from his palms and sending his figure further into the forest. A blue glow filled the nearby trees, quickly growing distant.

"So, uh, Enigma." Hawks sang, hovering back into the air and swinging his hands behind his head. "How's it going?

The hero wasn't surprised by the silence. The girl refused to meet his eyes, instead still gazing towards where the Nomus swarmed the remaining corpse.

It had only been days since Himura Seiko reemerged from the Doctor's bizarre experiments, and Hawks desperately fought to conceal the regret that consumed him every time he interacted with this new "Seiko."
