CRYSTAL ACADEMY: Chapter Four
(NOT EDITED)
It's been a week since Jimin called Mrs. Kim, saying he will accept the scholarship to Crystal Academy. He told his teachers that he and his family were moving to a different town and that today was his last day. The last thing he's doing is telling them he got a fricking scholarship to Crystal Academy, which would give him too much attention, both good and bad.
At home, his mom and brother were packing for him. Jinhyun wanted to give him a going-away gift that he was going to show to Jimin when he got home.
Right now it's the final block and only four hours till Mrs. Kim would arrive to pick up Jimin. They were wrapping up the homework for the weekend while Jimin sat at his desk, using the last page in his notebook to sketch a random figure wearing a fancy white suit covered in diamonds. He was shading in the dress when a hand pressed against his desk. Jimin looks up and sees the same Alpha from last week, the one that wanted to ask him out.
"Can I help you?" Jimin asks, wondering why he was in this classroom when he is a year older. "My name is Min-Jun, I heard you were moving to another town," he says, leaning a little too close for Jimin's comfort. "Yes I am, why does that concern you?" he asks, raising his eyebrows.
Min-Jun leans back confidently, clearing showing off. "Well, that's a shame because I was hoping to ask out on a date." Jimin lets out a sigh, pinching the bridge of his nose. Min-Jun notices this action and leans his head to the side in a questioning matter. "Look, even if I wasn't moving, I would say no."
"Why?" Min-Jun asks. Jimin stands up from his seat, slinging his backpack over his shoulders. "Because we don't know each other. You only heard of me from other students, you don't ANYTHING about me." He grabs his notebook before walking towards the door. "How about you damn alpha's get to know someone before asking them out on a date." All eyes were on Jimin as he left the room.
Just as he turns the corner, the bell rings, and waves of students begin to leave their classrooms, heading towards the doors to where their weekend begins. Jimin's expression is dark as he strides down the halls, dodging students left and right. He can hear them whispering behind him, probably talking about his little outburst not even a minute ago.
Once he was outside, Jimin slowed down and let out a deep breath. Checking his old, dated cellphone, the time read three-thirty. He has time to run down to the coffee shop and pick up some drinks for his mom and Mrs. Kim when she arrives.
Jimin takes a right and heads towards the coffee shop. Soon the aroma of bitter coffee and fresh pastries fill his nostrils, calming his nerves. He walks into the shop, the same one he met Mrs. Kim, and heads towards the counter. "What can I get you, Jimin?" the cashier asks. She and Jimin have become acquainted over the past few months. He would come to this coffee shop every time he meets with a customer and would sometimes come in to get a coffee for himself and a sweet tea for his mom and a pastry for Jinhyun.
"Can I get a vanilla latte, a sweet tea with lemon, a vanilla dip doughnut, and an iced coffee, please." The cashier nods as she types the order into the register. Her name is Areum, she is an omega about the same age as Jimin, a little younger. Her deep brunette hair is usually tied up into a high ponytail. She has several piercings in her ear and always wears such beautiful jewelry.
"Of course, your total is twelve dollars," she says, looking up with her gentle brown eyes. It's probably her best feature. They're so sweet-looking, like two pools of milk chocolate. Jimin hands her the money and waits to the side for his order.
