CRYSTAL ACADEMY: Chapter Six

(NOT EDITED)

Jimin's mouth falls open when Mrs. Kim opens the door to his dorm for the year. Though she said it was smaller than the other rooms, it was way bigger than his and Jinhyun's shared bedroom. The interior was quite bland, only neutral colors. Mrs. Kim explained that each student got the chance to decorate their rooms with the colors they want, but Jimin likes the simplicity of it. He found it homey.

The bed sat in the center of the back wall with a nightstand on either side of it. One held a lamp while the other had a box of tissues and an alarm clock. The walls are pained a light grey while the sheets on the bed were black. Across the bed is a desk and chair. On top of the desk was a laptop, a couple of writing books along with a cup full of pens and pencils. A faux black carpet is placed in the center of the room. On one side of the desk was a door leading to the bathroom, while the other side had a door leading to a small walk-in closet. Inside the closet was one outfit hanging.

"Each student is required to wear a uniform," Mrs. Kim says. "Since it's getting to be cold out, we supplied you with the winter version of the uniform. When the snow clears up, and spring begins to arrive, we switch out the uniform to one more suitable for the weather. You are required to wear that during class hours, but after school and weekends, it is okay to wear your clothing." Jimin turns back to the desk and picks up the laptop. "Are all students given these?" he asks. Mrs. Kim nods, "Yes, but only for school purposes. You can use other sites, but please be aware that we have access to your search history, so think twice before you do anything weird or suspicious." There was a chuckle at the end of her sentence as if she remembered something. "Well, I think that is all. Your bags will arrive at any moment now and tomorrow at nine in the morning is when we'll begin the tour." She turns towards the door. "I hope you'll enjoy your time here."

Once the door closed behind her, Jimin let out a sigh. He was nervous inside. This place is so intimidating, and Jimin could only imagine what the students are like. He can bet there will be some snobs.

He takes another look in the closet to see an empty mannequin sitting in the back corner, along with a big blue bin. Curious, he drags the bin out to see a note on top of it.

Dear Jimin.

As a welcoming gift, my husband and I supplied you with some fabrics to start the year. I bet you'll run out by the end of the week but, it's to get you started.

Your friend Mrs. Park.

Jimin lets out a laugh as he opens the bin. Inside was multiple rolls of colorful fabric. She was right, the rolls are small and not enough to make a whole lot of outfits. But he appreciated the thought and pulled them out. At the bottom of the bin was a small sewing kit and a box filled with colorful jewels. "Geez," he mumbles with a smile. "They're spoiling me. Maybe I should do something like a payment for their kindness." Beside the desk is a small dresser meant for holding extra things like books and pens. Jimin moves the bin towards there and puts the fabrics in the bottom drawer. By now his bags are sitting by the door so he takes out his fabrics and places those in as well. In the second drawer, he puts in the box of jewels along with his sewing kits and thread. Finally, in the top drawer, he put the notebooks, his sketchbooks, and the fashion magazines he was gifted on the flight by the pilot. He puts his pens and pencils in the cup and placed his pencil crayons beside it in the pencil case.

Once he finishes with putting that stuff away, he moves to his closet and starts to hang up his few clothes. He had a couple of pairs of jeans, some shirts, and one jacket. Though Jimin loved clothes, he didn't bother buying or making many for himself because of money. But now he has some fabrics he could turn into shirts and jackets. Jimin placed his bags in the closet before leaving, but his eyes caught something as he was about to leave. It was in the corner by the door of the closet. It's a brown leather side bag with the school's crest on it. Jimin left it for now as he left the closet and slipped off his shirt. His muscles were aching, and he needed to lie down for a bit. Jimin grabbed his phone before making his way to the bed. He promised to face-time Jinhyun that evening.

After a few seconds of ringing, Jinhyun answers the family computer with a huge smile on his face. "Hey Jinhyun," Jimin says with a huge smile. "Hi, Jiminie! How is Crystal Academy so far? Is it as fancy as you expected? What is your dorm room like?" Questions spew out of Jinhyuns mouth like word vomit, and Jimin couldn't help but laugh. "One question at a time," he chuckles. Jinhyun blushes before finally asking how he's liking the school so far. "It's pretty good so far. Mrs. Kim is going to give me a tour of the school."

"That's good. What is your dorm like?" Jinhyun asks, his face resting in the palm of his hand as he stares into the screen. "My dorm room looks good, they said every dorm is plain, only neutral colors and the students have the chance of decorating it themselves. I honestly don't know what to do to it," Jimin says, "We've never decorated our room."

"Maybe you should do black and white with spots of color all over the place," Jinhyun suggests. "You always did like that kind of style when looking at magazines." Jimin scans his room, a vision already appearing in his mind. "That's a good idea, Jinhyun! I'll ask Mrs. Kim if I could go shopping for some stuff after the tour tomorrow." Jinhyun bashes at the compliment. "Thanks! Make sure to show me, and mom tomorrow."

Jimin nods. "I wish you guys were here. How is mom?" he asks. Jinhyun shrugs. "She came home today tired, as usual, they worked her to death at the restaurant since they were short-staffed." The omega's jaw tightens hearing that. Her boss was an ass, always overworking her to death. "Well, that'll soon change," Jimin sighs.

Jinhyun notices his brother's expression change through the screen. "Hey, don't stress too much about it. You need to focus on the school there. Have you received your schedule yet?" he asks, trying to switch the topic. "No, not yet. Mrs. Kim says I'll be able to choose them tomorrow after the tour. We both know I'll choose something that has to do with fashion here. I just don't know what do to for my other three classes," he says.

Jinhyun shrugs. "Well, just wait until she gives you the options. Right now, try to sleep. You must be tired." Jimin nods his head, "Yeah, I'll call you and mom tomorrow." Just as he's about to hang up, he stops. "Wait, how is Hana doing?" he asks. "She's doing good. I've been doing the thing that you and mom do when you place her head next to your heartbeats to calm her down. Also, I've been making homemade picture books in my free time since it benefits both of us. She gets bedtime stories, and I can draw." Hearing that made Jimin chuckle. He couldn't drive Jinhyun away from his drawing book even if he tried. The young boy was dedicated.

"Well, I'm going to get some sleep, goodnight Jinhyun," he says, waving to the screen. Jinhyun does the same, and soon the screen goes black. Letting out a sigh, Jimin turned to his side and fished his charger out of his backpack, plugging in his phone before turning onto his back.

He lets out a long yawn as he stares blankly at the sky. He is about to be thrown into a whole new world with no thought of how it works. Jimin never wondered what life is like as a rich person. He doesn't believe that money can make a person's life easier. Sometimes fame and money can make a person's life harder. They have a magnifying glass on them at all times, waiting to catch a moment where they're anything less than perfection. Then that news is spread all over the world like a wildfire made of gossip. Rich people are automatically thrown into a world of manners and perfection, even if they didn't want it in the first place.

Jimin just wants to get through this school with any pointless drama. He's not here to ruin someone's life, so they should do the same. He may be a poor person in other people's eyes. But wealth and appearance can only tell people so much. It's the soul that keeps their true selves.

And Jimin intends on keeping his true self locked up.

I am so sorry for the awful grammar mistakes! I am still healing from this cold and I'm not 100% yet. And I am so sorry for randomly disappearing for another month and a half lmao. School and life has been very stressful. But I do hope to go back to my routine of updating every Friday but no promises because it's clear I can't keep those fjfjfjfj.

But anyways, thank you guys so much for reading. I love you all so so much and I hope you have an amazing day!

Bye!
