For the third night in a row I woke up at 3 o'clock, I caught the noise of the wardrobe doors banging together, I realised they were in a pattern of 3. Bang. Bang. Bang.
The mirror caught my eye, something that resembled a man was in it, but I was half asleep although I could swear that I heard the same tune Liz was whistling, but I was half asleep.
It could've been a trick of the light (if a light was on) it could've been a branch wavering over the window or a bird fleeting past, I went back to sleep.
I was woken again at half past 5 my sister was standing at the end of my bed, staring blankly at me
"Liz, why aren't you in bed?" I moaned. She kept staring, "Liz!" I repeated starkly. She kept staring, I waved my arms in front of her in an attempt to wake her. She kept staring. I slowly got out of bed rubbing my eyes and guided her back to bed, then at last I could get back to sleep I didn't wake until 9.
I can't remove Liz's stare from my mind, I've never seen her like that before, it was almost as if it wasn't Liz but that isn't possible. I didn't mention it, especially on her birthday.
