Chapter 11: Time For Lies Period 1

"Itona?" I nervously asked him as my body got sweaty.

Impossible... impossible...

I know that can't be possible. I was with him almost all the time...

"When was the picture taken?" I asked.

"It was taken about 6 o'clock..." Isogai-kun told us.

"Then it's impossible!" I told them.

I wasn't sure if I was telling the truth, but there has to be now way he could be the culprit in the first place, right?

"Why is it?" Kurahashi-san asked me, "I clearly heard his voice!"

"I was with him for the whole time!" I explained, "so it's impossible--"

"It's possible." Chiba-kun told us, "you're literally going against your claims."

"That's true." Maehara-kun told me, "you said that the message was pre-recorded, so it could be possible that it would be taken when Itona-kun wasn't with you."

"Ok then..." Itona sighed as I saw his sweat drip with nervousness, "I guess this is enough time for stopping?"

So he was actually... admitting?

"Fine everyone." Itona told us as he took out his bandana as his tentacles we thought he removed came out, "I'm the culprit."

"So then, you must've stolen the knife Isogai-kun had, and threatened him, right?" Karma asked.

"Actually, if any of you can explain the whole crime, then you can vote for me." he told us.

"But we don't have enough evidence to prove how he killed Okajima-kun!" Sugino-kun told us.

"There's the mess in the kitchen." Sugaya-kun told us, "maybe they both had a fight after the Party?"

"Possible, but I can prove that wrong." I told them, "Katakoa-san, you said the room was a bit more dirty than what you saw during breakfast, right?"

"Yes, that is a fact." she said, "food, tarot cards everywhere--"

"Wait!" Hazama-san told us, "I think I forgot to tell you, but my Tarot Cards have a secret."

"A secret?!" Fuwa-san told us with gleaming anime eyes.

"Yes, if you put the cards in a specific place and create a magic circle..." Hazama-san told us as she traced an imaginary one with her finger, "it creates a trap."

"Well, we saw the Tarot Cards from before." Fuwa-san told us, "and if none of us touched it..."

"Wait, does something special happen as you make the magic circle?" I asked.

"Well, what you need in the magic circle actually is a blood sacrifice..." Hazama-san told us, "and then you can write a name of a specific person. And the magic circle seemed to have failed."

"What if we think backwards?" Karma asked us, "what if it was actually Okajima-kun?"

"It was Okajima-kun who stole it." Hazama-san told us, "I found a smudge that Okajima-kun had from yesterday on the card packs and on some of the cards."
