Chapter 15: Time For a Body Discovery Period 2

I found myself snuggling on Itona's warm chest again.

I mean, it was summer, but it was quite warm. And the room felt like winter.

"You're warm..." I told him as I buried my face deeper on him.

I stared at the clock to find 6 o'clock in the morning.

Where was Itona?

I couldn't even find him, only his bandana was left on the bed next to me.

Weird.

I tried finding him, looking around the Garden.

Well, I only found Shinigami saying hi instead.

"Did you see Itona?" I asked him, slightly paniced.

"Well, should I tell the truth?" Shinigami questioned himself as he stared at the rising sun, "he might be in trouble, he might not be."

What kind of answer was that? What did he mean by that?

I left, trying to decipher what Shinigami meant.

He might be in trouble, he might not be.

What did that even mean???

Could it be that...

Itona will soon die?

No, that was just the worst possibility... Maybe he got lost?

But there's the maps all over the school ground. He can't get lost.

I checked the Forest path, where it lead me to the tall cabin.

The campfire was still burning, when it wasn't supposed to. It should've been out by now.

And then, I saw what seemed to be fire in the Forest.

I ran, finding myself at the Pool.

The dam blocking the water was gone, as I saw fire leading up to a pole.

Someone was on there. But the pole itself was already burning.

No. It was impossible for it to be Itona in the first place.

The door was locked, so Itona couldn't have been kidnapped...

...but there was the chance that he opened the door and got attacked.

I tried putting out the fire and yelling for help, Maehara-kun came up.

"What is that noise-- oh gosh, is someone burning here?!" He yelled.

Thanks to his contribution, we were able to help putting out the life, but our second victim had there life taken by someone.

And that someone had to be one of us.
