Today was the big day! You and Sidon were going to get married after around 7 months of engagement. You were excited and nervous all at the same time, but fortunately you had Lyla and Rita, who just came back from a long trip, to calm you down and help you get ready.
"You have nothing to be worried about." Lyla told you as she helped you put on makeup.
"Lyla, why are you making her wear make up? She doesn't need it." Rita rolled her eyes.
"I didn't make her. She wanted to."
"Just because it's a special occasion. I'm flattered, though. Thank you Rita." You smiled as you looked down at your engagement ring.
"You'll do great. This is gonna be the best day of your life and you know it." Rita smiled as she put a neckless on you.
"I think your ready." Lyla led you to the throne room, and you just stared at the wall.
You had never really been in there since the death of King Dorephan, only on a couple occasions. You missed King Dorephan just as much as everyone else did, more so even. Well, not more than Sidon. But you snapped out of it when Lyla called you.
"Hey, _____, don't think about him right now. You're getting married. Today's supposed to be great, and happy."
"I know, I know. I'll try." The music started, and Sidon was already down by the balcony just above Mipha's statue.
Link ran up, since he was walking you down the 'aisle' (The stairs and across the balcony). He led you down and you could see Sidon's bright smile when he saw you. You got to the arch he was under, and held both of his hands.
"Hello beautiful." Sidon smiled as he ran his hand through your curled hair.
"Hey handsome." You giggled as he leaned over, allowing you to stroke his head. His tail wagged a bit and you were both blushing.
"Alright, let's start with the vows." Kapson opened his book and began with everything.
After the vows
"I now pronounce Prince Sidon and Master _____ husband and wife! Prince Sidon, you may kiss the bride!" Sidon lifted you up and kissed you. Everyone cheered as he hugged you and put you back down, holding your hand.
"Everyone hail to our new King and Queen, Sidon and _____!" Muzu exclaimed as he stepped out next to Kapson. He was excited to have you as the queen, even though he was quite cold to you at first, he quickly got over it, and was actually proud that you were marrying Sidon.
After that, you went to throw the bouquet, and Lyla caught it. The rest of the night was just partying and having fun.
"So, how's being married?" Rita asked.
"It's great! If only it would be this perfect forever."
"You and Sidon are perfect though."
"But nothing lasts forever. A bond might, not perfection in that bond."
"Good point. Let's go get cake, yeah?"
"Yeah!"
"Hey, there she is!" Sidon walked over to you with open arms. "There's my queen." He smiled as he hugged you and kissed your cheek.
"There's my king." You giggled as he rustled your hair and grabbed a piece of cake.
"Wanna dance?" He asked, holding his hand out. You nodded and put your hand on top of his, and he quickly pulled you out to the dance floor.
The two of you danced for hours and hours, just happy to finally officially be a couple. Although the two of you wished your parents were there to see it, atleast you had each other and your friends. But at that point, you and Sidon were each other's only family, wanted to make the most of it. But enough sad stuff, this was going to be amazing.
Happy Friday! Today I got three major chapters out, so go check out the other two books as well! Also if you got the notification for this earlier, it's because I accidentally hit publish before it was done and then had to redo a couple things. But I hope you enjoyed this chapter, and I'll be back with more soon. And especially thanks to Murph795 and BrynTro for all the support and votes! Bye for now ;3
