Chapter 13: Love and War

The triplets charged towards me and honestly, I was scared. The scent of demon blood must have been strong enough to make Shuu, Reiji and Subaru crazy! Beel stood behind me, and locked his arms onto me. "B-Beel?!" I gasped.

"Just have a tight grip on the knife!" Said Beel.

Ayato charged right at me, but in a swift move, Beel lifted me off the ground and he flew into the air with me. "Ayato, catch!" Shouted Kanato.

He threw Ayato...a sword?! Ayato raised the sword at me, and our blades hit each other. Kanato, holding a fork and a cake knife started fighting Levi. "Flaming Leviathan Punch!" Shouted Levi.

"I'm tired of hearing you say that you lousy demon!" Shouted Kanato.

Subaru and Satan were fist fighting and they sure are releasing a lot of wrath! "Mc!" Shouted Mammon.

He sprinted as fast as he could and tackled Ayato! His sword flew out of his hand and Mammon started punching him. Laito took a running start, and Asmo yanked the fedora off Laito's head and Asmo smashed a bottle of perfume in Laito's face! "My eyes!" Shouted Laito painfully.

Asmo kneed him in the balls, took his scarf from his normal clothes and tied Laito's wrists behind his back. "There can only be one shining gem in this world, and that is moi!" Said Asmo.

I looked behind, and it looked like Shuu and Belphie were not really fighting. More like...arguing. "I think I found a worse being than humans." Said Belphie, "I now think vampires are the worst."

"Whatever." Said Shuu.

Taking the moment, Belphie punched Shuu in the stomach! He grabbed Shuu's neck and started to strangle him. "You're not the first one I've done this to..." Said Belphie, recalling the past.

"This is all ridiculous," said Reiji, "Just give up human."

"Will you not fight?" I asked.

Beel's grip on me got tighter. "You all are making a big deal out of nothing." Said Reiji.

"Your brothers almost killed Lucifer you bastard!" I shouted, "And whoever hurts Lucifer, I'll never forgive them!"

I also took in the rage of the night Reiji drugged Lucifer. Beel flew towards him, and putting my legs around Beel's, I held the knife, and cut into Reiji's shoulder! His blood splattered onto the ground and Beel flew right up into the air. "That's ironic since you also hurt Lucifer..." said Reiji, smirking at me.

Okay, he may be right, but that was cold! "So you're really willing to shed blood to protect us?" Asked Beel.

"I'm gonna have to." I said, "I know it's crazy, but it has to be done."

I glanced by the fire place and saw Lucifer still clutching his wounds. "For Lucifer." I said.

Kanato and Levi were still fighting and just by Levi's fighting moves, he must have watched a lot of action anime. "Beel," I whispered, "Fly to Kanato!"

Beel swooped down and I managed to snatch Kanato's teddy bear. "Teddy!" Shrieked Kanato.

I threw it across the room and Kanato made a run to get it, dropping his fork and knife. "You really saved my skin Mc!" Said Levi, "You're truly my best friend!"

"No problem!" I said, "Just keep fighting like how you were! And grab the fork and knife while he's still distracted!"

Levi quickly grabbed the utensils and readied himself. Asmo kept stepping on Laito, so that's good enough. Belphie seemed to have taken care of Shuu, but Shuu only looked unconscious. "Did you wind up killing him?" I asked Belphie.

"Well, he's still breathing, so no." Said Belphie.

I looked behind and saw Lucifer making an attempt to stand. Kanato was coming from behind him! "Lucifer, look out!" I yelled.

Lucifer looked behind and pushed Kanato into the wall, knocking him out. He saw Reiji, and attempted to run towards him. Reiji was still bleeding from when I cut his shoulder, and Lucifer started punching Reiji. I looked and saw Satan and Subaru fighting. "Beel, get close to Subaru!" I said.

Beel flew straight into him and once Subaru saw me, he stopped punching Satan. He closed his eyes. Is he letting me kill him? Satan jumped out of the way, but I said, "Beel, pull back!"

Beel stopped himself. "What is it?" Asked Beel.

"Aren't you gonna kill me?" Asked Subaru.

"I should, but I shouldn't." I said, "Do you really want to die?"

"Yes." Said Subaru, "That's why I gave you the knife. To stab me with it."

Now what do I do? I'm in an uncomfortable position. "If it's what you want..." I said, "then...I'll grant your wish."

With shaky hands, I held the knife and pierced the blade into Subaru's chest. I can't believe I just killed someone!

[Poof]

Okay, obviously I can't handle killing someone. If I start killing people now, I'm gonna have a dark future ahead of me. Facing Subaru, I gave Beel an order. "Knock him out." I said.

Beel let me go and punched him in the face so that he was unconscious. "I'm sorry Subaru," I said, "I cannot grant your wish. You'll find your purpose in life that doesn't involve murder. Trust me."

Soon the only ones left fighting were Ayato and Mammon. And by the look of the fight, Mammon wasn't doing so well. Not thinking, I chucked the knife in Ayato's direction. The blade pierced into the back of his shoulder, causing him to yell out in pain. I ran towards him and pulled the knife out. I kicked his back and he was weakened. "Mc, whaddya do that for?! I was about to beat his ass!" Said Mammon.

"You were about to die, Mammon. So that's why I did what I did." I said.

The silver knife was now covered in Ayato's blood. Ayato tried to sit up, but I said, "Try hurting him again, see what happens!"

He then collapsed to the ground again. Me and the demon brothers were the last ones standing. I saw Lucifer attempting to stand. "Lucifer!" I cried, dropping the knife.

I raced towards him and threw my arms around him. "Do you think a hug will make me change my-?"

"I'm so sorry!" I said cutting Lucifer off, "I got scared and accidently hurt you. And because of me, you almost got killed."

I took my arms off him and said, "If you want to hurt me, then...that's okay. I dislike pain, but I'll put up with it."

I spread my arms and closed my eyes. Lucifer sighed and said, "Don't stand there like an idiot."

I opened my eyes and saw that Lucifer made no attempt to strike me. "But I-!"

"I'm grateful that you and my brothers came back to save me," Said Lucifer cutting me off, "but when we get back to the Devildom, I'll put you through a lot so you can reflect on your actions."

"Okay." I said, "As long as you're alright, I couldn't care less about what'll happen to me."

Lucifer, taken aback by my statement looked away. The sound of an opening door came next, accompanied by a voice saying, "What all has happened here?"
