[ ch.6 ] Dumb and Dumber

It's been a week since school started and I'm getting used to the new environment and my new friend and surprisingly I got used to Chanwoo's flirty antics too, I learned not to take his jokes seriously and Yuri and Tiff were so close that people will think that we've been friends since diapers.

" Hey, Chae there is a long test coming up this Friday how about let's study together? " Yuri said while putting on some lip tint, she smacked her lips together then turned to Tiff who was busy brushing her hair.

" you in? " " I'm in" she answered packing her hairbrush inside her cream-colored cosmetic bag." But where? " I asked wiping my face with a tissue." we've been to my place and Yuri's too, how about at your house we've never been there," Tiff said.

" ok, I guess," I said, we were walking back to our lockers when we saw the two guys whom I met last week at the cafeteria having a heated debate.

" I told you Tae chicken comes first," Minjun said frustration seen all over his face." Then if chicken comes first how was it made it came from an egg so therefore egg comes first! " Hyuntae fired back.

" Yah! You two are so immature " Tiff said hitting the two of them.

" Yah! That hurts! " they simultaneously said." you guys look like cartoon characters that are a bunch of crackheads," Yuri said rolling her eyes.

" You mean dumb and dumber," I said while tidying up my locker.

" Hae you are so mean, It hurt here you know," Minjun said pouting pointing to his chest." you look like a duck " I deadpanned.

" HAHAHA, SHE CALLED YOU A DUCK " Hyuntae laughed holding on to his stomach.

" Shh! Hyuntae tone down your voice your so noisy it sounds like you swallowed a megaphone, " I said looking around and noticed almost everyone was staring.

" Let's go Hae it's already 12:50 our next class is in 1:10," Yuri said slamming her locker shut. I nodded then we walked to our next class, not minding dumb and dumber who were calling out our names.

I was scanning my notes and making a reviewer with my earphones plugged in when Tiff hit my shoulder." Hae I don't know what's up with my brother's friend but I just caught him staring at you " she whispered. I rubbed my shoulder that she hit pouting. " who cares maybe he was staring at Luna

" I said shrugging and plugged my earphones back in and wrote my review notes.

" aish this girl is so naive " Tiff whispered. Her words were not heard by the previous girl who was currently immersed in writing her notes.

" Ok everybody calm down, as you may all heard by now that the acquaintance party will be next week Friday now you have a week and a half to get ready and ask someone to be your date, and speaking of date our student council has this event where you can donate some money and in exchange, they will be your messenger for a given time " Mr. Thomas our half American and half Korean teacher said. " and don't abuse it they will be messengers, not your slaves understood? "

" Understood! " everyone answered." Oh My Gosh! I'm so excited about the party!! " Tiff squealed. " Yah Stefanie Park! Stop squealing like a banshee your gonna make our ears bleed " Yuri scolded Tiff making the latter pout.

" But we still have a long test this Friday should we worry about that first, " I said packing my binder and some books into my bag when a peach-colored paper caught my attention. I unfolded it and read it's content.

Hi! Yoo Chealine right? A pretty name for a pretty girl, when I first saw you I was mesmerized. How could a normal human being look so ethereal? And what made me like you more is that you are different not like the other girls. And seeing how you interact with your friends is very amusing I hope we can meet in person soon.                               - Guardian Angel.

That's weird...

" what's that, " Yuri said looking over my shoulder. " nothing," I said stuffing the note in my bag. " if you say so," she said looking suspicious.

" where is Tiff by the way? " I said diverting her attention. " oh, she was called by her brother earlier, and she said we can go first since she's going with her brother," she said, we walked out of the building and into the parking lot.

I was in the cafe near school waiting for Mr. Park, Yuri went home first since she drove her car to school today. I was sipping on my iced coffee when someone sat down on the chair in front of me. " Can I sit here? If you don't mind since all of the tables are full " he said, I looked around and he was right, the cafe was full of students who were busy doing school works or chatting with friends. " it's okay Jay you can sit there ".

" So... are you waiting for someone," he asked sipping his coffee. " Yeah my driver, but it's alright I can just do some stuff while waiting, " I said, reading my notes and highlighting some parts.

" You interested in joining a club? " he asked reminding me that tomorrow afternoon is the time to look and join clubs, which is important.

" I don't know I think I'll try volleyball or music," I said closing my book and lookup. Jay was staring right at my eyes and it's making me feel a little flustered. " ehem so yeah... you? What club are you joining? " I asked cutting the awkwardness. " I'm already part of the basketball team," he said smiling with his dimples out.

Stop smiling like that you are making me fall for you... wait what?! WTF Yoo Chaeline stop right there!

I looked around trying to avoid his eyes when my phone suddenly rang saving me from the heavy tension that surrounds us. " um I have to go it's my driver I guess he's already at the parking lot so um yeah talk to you soon I mean see you when I see you " I awkwardly said picking up my bag and drink. " yeah see you around " he said standing up too.

I smiled at him and walked out of the cafe mentally hitting myself. Yoo Chaeline why are you so awkward?!

But I must admit Jay is a handsome guy...wait I just noticed why is this school full of good-looking people seriously.
