"Is everything ready? Sora! We can NOT take Bruno to Grandma's, honey. He would be just fine with aunt Michi, she would take really good care of him!"

"But mom! I want..."

I squat down and turn her to face me.
"Sora" I say softly, "Grandma's place is too cold for Bruno. He might even die! You won't want that would you?"

Her chocolate brown eyes grow as large as fish's. Her smooth, baby skin blushes and her jaw drops.

"No way!" she whispers in a trembling voice. She looks so sweet and innocent, I can't help smiling.

"Let's get into the car then. Dad will leave Bruno to aunty Michi's."

She is so tiny that she stands in her ankles to reach me. Her sweet little fingers wraps around my index and middle finger.

But then when I look at her face, it deforms into a disgusting and sickening red lump of meat, like someone tried to hammer her face into a thin flat sheet, but failed horribly. I can't locate her facial features anymore. What's going on? Her comfortable and soft pink dress becomes heavy with greasy blood.

I want to run, I want to scream, but I have lost my voice.

My head replays the ear piercing BOM, like I am standing too close to a canon.
