JENNIE'S POV

"Try it," Jinyoung held out a French fry that he had just dipped in chocolate. He kept repeating how I was going to discover the best weird combination of food. I was still doubtful, especially since I've been trying to analyze this man for a few days now. So far, he hasn't shown me the perverted criminal yet, unless he's a very good actor. In that case, it won't be long before he shows his true nature.

"Are you trying to kill me? Why would I eat a French fry dipped in chocolate?"

"I promise, it's delicious," I opened my mouth reluctantly when my eyes widened as I tasted the mixture melting on my taste buds. Jinyoung looked at me with an excited and impatient look before I rolled my eyes at him.

"All right, it's not that bad but still, it's weird," I glanced at the French fry cone in his hand. He followed my gaze and laughed silently before stopping to see my glare.

"Eat with me because I'll never finish them alone," he nudged me and gave me the cone. I pretended to sigh before I agreed to take it. When he walked in front of me, I quickly slipped a chocolate fry in my mouth. As soon as he had any doubts, he turned to me and I immediately stopped chewing. That night, his smile never left his face.

"Jane. Jane... Jane!" I was startled before I realized Lisa was standing in front of me. My hand in hers, she was caressing my palm with her thumb. When I realized that we were on the shopping street where food stalls occupied every space in the place, I wondered when we arrived.

"Sorry I was distracted for a few minutes,"

"Sure?" she was concerned and her eyes softened me that I couldn't help but tiptoe and peck her lips. She sighed the the glow returned to her eyes, she was now relieved even she didn't seem convinced. We continued on our way admiring the stands that made hand-made dolls or bracelets made by a youth movement. I am surprised that I never took the time to walk around this place. It was good to live with the musicians who played the ukulele and animated every passer-by who stopped to throw a coin at them. Lisa seemed to enjoy it as much as I did because she was turned into a little child discovering the world for the first time.

After watching a few shows, we finally arrived at the food zone where the place seemed to be even fuller than the one we had just left. Food trucks everywhere in every color. The smell of spicy grilled food was filling the place and I was starting to salivate just smelling it.

"Oh it's there! I want you to try something," she smirked, pulling me towards a yellow truck before I could protest. My heart stopped beating for a few moments, seeing that they were chocolate fries. With all the choice there was, Lisa had to come here. I was shocked at the coincidence when Lisa poked my cheek, "Don't tell me you're afraid to try new things. I promise, it's delicious," she giggled before facing back to the vendor guy. I was silent while I waited for Lisa to take her order. Suddenly, I wanted to go home because all the happiness that I carried inside me had vanished. It was now replaced by this invisible presence that made my heart race, but in a bad way. Not wanting to have a panic attack, I did the breathing exercises that my mother had taught me. Lisa came back to me with the similar cone of fries and thankfully I was calmer. She didn't look suspicious but rather excited at the idea of making me eat this weird combination that she thought I was unfamiliar with.

"Really? Dessert first?"

"Oh come one healthy girl. It doesn't matter, now try it," I had to take the first bite or she'd be pouting for the rest of the night, "So how is it?"

"You were right, it's delicious,"

"Let's eat and walk at the same time. We might find some interesting places to settle down,"
