I awake my usual time and smile as I feel Emmy pressed against my side and I move and my heart does this weird fluttering thing because as I stand her arm reaches out for me and she grabs my hoodie that I left on the bed last night and she pulls it into her and buries her face in it taking deep breaths of my scent and I give a slight chuckle as I walk into the bathroom and take a shower before brushing my hair into a bun and pulling on my pantsuit for today's meeting which starts in about 15 minutes. I walk back of the bathroom and I see her still snuggled into my hoodie and I find peace knowing she is simply going to be there whilst I get the meeting done. 

I nod to the warrior who is stationed outside of our door whilst I'm gone and he bows his head in respect. I walk into our conference room and I see once of the maids cleaning it to be perfect before we start and I smile at her as she bows and leaves the room and I stand watching out the window before I hear steady footsteps approaching from behind.

"Are you sure you're going to do this Alexandra?"

"I have to Lorcan "I start with a sigh "I can't let those Bastards get away with it" I turn to him "She is terrified to go outside she is terrified that I'm going to do the same things to her she hurt herself because of  everything that mutt did to her and all the memories that man gave her. He doesn't deserve respect or mercy I want him gone Okay wouldn't you want someone dead if they abused Indigo" he growled at the thought of someone hurting his mate and I see the anger wash over his face and I head to my seat as my case rests that no matter what i will kill Alpha Zane whether the council agrees to it or not. I stand as series of werewolves all dressed in the royal blue robes of the council. I nod at them and we all take a seat and the room fills with icy tension and they begin to ask

" why are we here Miss. GrayCrown it is unbecoming to summon those who hate you don't you think" i growl in distaste at Williams words he is a council member who thinks I shouldn't be Alpha because of my sex however it is written in the rules that when the previous Luna gives birth to twins it is her decision whom because Alpha and she choose her first born who happens to be me and Atlas had no issue with that he hated the idea of becoming Alpha it sickened him to the core of having to lead this many people so we never had any issues growing up other than the obvious me stealing 'his girls'

"There is an abuser among the Alpha ranks" i say simply and some of the kind hearted one's gasp in disgust towards this. The council set a series of rules that us werewolves had to follow and one of them being the abuse of another is punishable by death after trial and They usually always died.

"this is a serious accusation Alpha this cannot be taken lightly if what you say is true and if its false you will be punished" i feel lilura roll her eyes at this rage reaching the surface my claws wanting away to come out and claw at William.

"I found my Mate, council, however she was injured and beaten and when i found her the Alpha began losing it at the fact I was going to take her, she has a bruise on her face and it was clear someone had hurt her , when we arrived she was in pain due to what we found out to be a series of broken ribs 4 of them exactly she is severely malnourished and is emotionally scarred, she is depressed to the point of hurting herself. My doctor did a full body exam and she has many badly healed broken bones and years' worth of scars and scar tissue which all point to lifelong abuse." i see a tear drop from Auroras eyes and i smile sadly at her as we are very close friends as she is member of my pack except when moments like this come

"might I ask her name Alpha " Aurora asks timidly i smile in reassurance

"Emmeline Maeve, she has no clue of her last name due to her being found on the packs borders" i say steadily i see William scoff and my head snaps to him not ready for what i hear next

"well i think we should talk to your mate don't you Alpha" he says smirking at me and i stand slamming my hands on the table growling

"you will not talk to my mate however i will choose two people who can" I say growling at him his face drops as he doesn't get what he wants whatever that may be knowing it's a losing battle he simply nods at my terms
