The pack is currently all saying final goodbye's until we go to attack Zane's pack to bring vengeance for the brutal way, he treated Emmy. Just as the pack finishes saying goodbye to their family, I feel my own mate squeezing and my arm not wanting to let go of me

"Do we really have to do this Alex?" She says her lip trembling and her eyes seem to burn with unshed as she obvious tried to keep the tears at bay and I sigh giving her a nod of my head and I see defeat in her eyes.

"Please stay?" She asks and I feel a piece of my heartbreak and my eyes follow each teat which slowly roll down her face and I pull her into my arms and almost immediately her arms squeezed a fraction tighter and Emmy's breaths calmed and I sigh relaxing as I feel her body melting into mine as all of my muscles lose tension and it hit me all at once that this was real and nothing could ever change that and I never wanted too and i feel her pull away she keeps her hands on my arms. I hear my Beta shout of me and I turn to walk and we slowly part but I can feel the upset through the bond and as I reach Lorcan I see from the corner of my eyes that Indigo is holding onto Reyna as my mate is still upset at the fact we have to do this.

"You ready Alpha?" I shake my head before responding

"No there is so many different things that could go wrong and that definitely scares me" he looks at me before we turn to our own warriors and they all shift as we walk slowly to the front and Lorcan shifts but as I go to shift on my own I hear my mate call out to me

"Wait wait!" I turn to face her and I see her making her way quickly through the crowd of wolves who begin to part and let their Luna through. "You forgot something" She says coming up to me, she stands before me panting slightly unused to running. I frown wondering what I had forgotten but she wraps her arms around by neck and my whole-body tingles, the feel of her small frame pressed up against my own and she pulls me in claiming my mouth feeling hungry and intense. I feel my knee's begin to give way but I hold myself up but it was as if time had stopped right in this moment as we stood in front of the pack glued to one and other as if no one else existed and there was no risk of death or pain and my heart skips a beat and we both move back needing air but it takes me a moment but i hear wolves howling in glee at their Alpha and Luna's very public affection and she looks down at her hands as the blush is painted a perfect pink colour as she realised we both just had a huge moment in front of the entire pack but before we can get lost in each other again I feel her push away and I feel a wolf nudge against my leg and we look into each other eyes once more knowing this was it the moment we had to go and we did and we pulled away and I shift and turn back to her letting out a wolfy whimper as she lets a fresh set of tears but I turn back and set off, the wolves of our pack running around her as we go to fight for revenge.

It had taken us awhile but we were on the borders of Zane's pack and we prepare to enter the territory as the entire territory seems rather quiet due to the border patrol change which is clearly happening throughout the territory and just like that i send a nod Lorcan's way and just like that hundreds of wolves were flying through the woods and the pack alarm goes off in the distance and by the time we reach Zane's pack house his wolves stand outside and there he stands and at the sight of him my eyes go red and I shift out of wolf form not wanting to lose control just yet.

"Ahh Alpha Alex how did I not know you would be back" He says with a snarl in his voice and his Beta stands forward growling fiercely at me and three of my wolves' step forward forming a protective barrier around my legs.

"Zane I seriously think it's time to give up before your partially innocent pack gets hurt" I say rolling my eyes at the end

"Now now Alex what have we done to deserve this treatment from you and I'm sure the council won't be too pleased to hear that you are attacking a pack for no reason" At this I give a brilliant smirk

"Well actually Zane we have permission to take you down and any of your pack members that decide to go against us" I say filled with glee at this and his face drops completely and he knew he had lost and had nothing left nowhere to go and no way to escape his fate.

"Y..you can't do th..i..is " He stutters out but rather than responding to him I turn to address his pack

"We will be taking down your alpha and the Graycrown pack will be seeking vengeance for the crimes against our Luna" The wolves turn to each other clearly in confusion "This is your chance to not be harmed stand down now and none of you will get hurt you will peacefully join my pack" At this many of the wolves shifted into their human form and stepped aside bowing theirs heads in submission but a group decide not to including their Alpha so I shift just in time for him to ponce but I kick him in the stomach and I flip over and the rest of his pack attack mine but the stand no chance and I circle around him before deciding to pounce and in that moment I knew something was about to go wrong as I turned the slight of my head and I saw the rest of Zane's pack preparing to pounce but before I could do anything about it he pounced on my pack and it became a full-fledged battle and it started and I gave up restriction and let Lilura take control rather than fighting this myself and we watch as Zane backs off to go and save his Beta who is fighting one of my warriors so I go off making sure each of my own warriors can make it through this but I feel pain go through my heart and something snaps inside my head and I turn to see one of the warriors who was fighting with an exceptionally large wolf on the floor with a snapped neck and I falter but only for a moment before continuing to fight against just about everyone I can't stop I have to protect everyone that I can who is still fighting with us but the pain of seeing one of my own on the floor blinds us with rage and we lose it and suddenly I have lost every ounce of control I ever had and started powering through every wolf that stood in my way but at that moment I heard a familiar whine of pain and I see Lorcan being forced against the floor and pinned by Zane so I very quickly make my way over there and I pounce onto Zane and in that moment I watch as Lorcan shakes his fur out pushing the pain away. We watch each other neither of us making the first move until I quickly rush forward scratching Zane's front legs with my paw before taking a bite to his stomach and I watch satisfied as blood covers his fur almost like a bursting dam and it continues like this for what seem like forever and from my peripheral vision I can see that most of Zane's pack warriors had been put down and not many of them were fighting as they had submitted to save their own lives but in my distraction me neither anyone else had seen the wolf creeping up behind me as I snapped Zane's neck but it was all too late the pain erupted in my body and I feel the blood poor out of my side's washing onto the floor and I very quickly turned in shock but in the moment I could only see Lorcan pouncing on the strangely familiar wolf but my vision was going black and as much as I was fighting I couldn't stop it the black clouded over everything and my paws were struggling to hold me up and eventually my legs gave out and I was on the floor whimpering and I couldn't see anything but black and then I heard a voice Lorcan's voice

"Come on Alex you've got to stay with us okay think about Emmy" at this all the images of her flashed through my mind from finding her beaten on that bathroom floor to our kisses that I could never get enough of to the moment I saw her bleeding and in that moment I kept fighting but it wasn't enough. In that moment there was no voices, no images just black my body went numb and my mind no longer thought my only reassurance was the fact I could still feel my head beat pounding in my head.
