Based on one liner #22 in set 1: your laugh is music to my ears. Aslo for this the reader is a female, sorry boys.

(Your POV)

"Guys, I'm home!" I shouted as I walked through the front door.

I didn't hear a reaponse from either Nate or Gabe, my boyfriend and roommate. Instead, I was greeted by silence and the very faint sounds of music coming from the living room. I put my stuff away and followed the sound. I found the boys in the living room, brainstorming news video ideas.

"Let's do another cover." Gabe suggested.

"No, let's write another original song." Nate retorted.

Gabe shook his head. "We just did another original song. We haven't done a cover in a while."

"I know but-"

"Hey guys." I repeated. "I home."

"Hey, (y/n)." They both said, neither looking over at me. They went back to their work, neither asking my anout work, or anything.

I sighed and headed up stairs. I went to my bedroom and collapsed on my bed. I grabbed my phone and called my best friend Michelle.

"Hey, what's up?" She answered.

"Nothing." I said, sadness tinted my voice. "I just gor home from work."

"What's wrong?" Michelle asked. "You sound upset."

"This is the fifth day in a row that Nate's been neglecting me." I replied. "He usually never gets like this. All he and Gabe said to me when I got hime was 'hey'. No 'how was work' or 'how was your day'."

"I'm sorry. Have you talked to him about it?"

I sighed. "I haven't gotten a chance to. He keeps saying he's busy ir that'll he'll get back to me but he never does."

"Don't worry. Everything will be fine." Michelle said. "I gotta but I'll talk to you later. Bye."

"Bye." I hung up.

I curled up in my bed and drifted off to sleep. I don't know how long I slept for but I was eventually woken up by Nate shaking me. "What do you want?" I asked him, a little harsher than I intended to.

"What's wrong?" He asked. "You got home and went right to bed. Everything okay?"

"Why do you care?"

Nate sat on the edge of my bed. "Because you're my girlfriend. I wanted to make sure you were okay."

"Really?" I asked, sitting up. "Now you care? The past five days you've be neglecting me. No attention or affection or anything! When I got home today all you said was 'hey', no hug or anything. I know you channel and music are important to you but I thought I was too."

"You are important to me! It's just-"

"Just leave. I want to be alone." I interrupted.

I hear Nate sigh and leave the room. A couple of hours went by. The house was silent. No music, no laughter, no talking. I was about to tru and sleep again when my phone buzzed. I look over and see a text from Nate.

Come down stairs, please.

I sighed and got up. I walked down stairs and my eyes widened. Nate stood in the living alone with the lights off and a couple if candles lit. There was a bowl of popcorn on the coffe table, a few little bahs of candy, and a litter of sofa with a couple of cups. There was also a note. I picked up the note.

I play and make a lot of music but nothing compares to the sweetest song I ever heard: your laugh.

I smile and looked up as Nate walked over to stand in front of me. "I'm sorry." He said. "I didn't realize how much I was ignoring you. I didn't mean to. I love you and you're the best thing that's ever happened to me. So, I wanna make it up to you. How about a movie night tonight? Then we'll soend the rest of the weekend together doing whatever you want. Do you forgive me?"

I smiled as I cupped the sides of his face and pressed a gentle kiss to his lips. We pulled away and let our foreheads rest against each other.

"You promise about the weekend?" I asked.

Nate nodded. "Absolutely."

"Then I forgive you."

Mate smiled and wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling me to him. "I love you."

"I smiled and burried my face into his chest. "I love you too."

Hey! I'm still alive. This was cute and long over do. Sorry that it took so long to get out. I'll hopefully be more active this week.
