Take Her Down (BTS FF)

We spent the day shopping, we went to all kinds of different stores, took a look at a few of the tourist attractions and gawked at the architecture. 
"Let's check out the gondolas!" Steph squealed as she dragged me over to one of the small boats, after we paid to take a quick trip we sat in the gondola 
"Wow.." I gasped as I stared into the water. It wasn't a heavy current, but it was enough so that the water wasn't stagnant. I was mesmerized by the little ripples as fish swam past us. They even had different breeds of shark swim past. I couldn't tear my eyes away from the water 
"Look Daisy" Steph said as she patted my arm, I looked up just in time to see the giant arch bridge we were going under. The architecture in Venice is to die for. Completely stunning. 
I felt like I was having an outer body experience the further we went down the canals, the buildings were gorgeous. Some of them needed a bit of work..but the beauty they held was still very much alive. 
"Sir, what is that place?" I asked as I pointed at a very large building on the right hand side. It had golden accents along the engraved stones and it was so beautiful I couldn't help but feel captivated and want to know everything I possibly could. 
"It's abandoned. It was a hotel at one point, a bar, a house for politicians, now it's empty. The man who owned the hotel died and his children wanted too much money from buyers so it never sold" 
"And on the other side..there's a view from the beach?"
"That's what it was known the most for. Almost every single room has a perfect view and balconies" 
I nodded as I listened to him 
"I met my wife there when we were only kids. My mother was a housekeeper and her father was a politician..I was meant to stay invisible, but she saw me anyway. At nine years old I asked her to marry me, and by twenty one we were actually married and expecting a child. A lot of us hold a lot of memories from this place and it's so sad no one can buy it and restore it to the beauty it once was" 
The sadness in his eyes and voice. 
This is it. 
This is the one. 
"Who do I contact about buying it?"
"I'm not sure you would want to my dear..it's too much money" 
"I understand, I'll see what I can accomplish though. And for helping me, if I do get it, you and your wife can stay whenever you want free of charge" 
"Wow" he stared at me like he was star struck 
By the time the gondola came to a stop I had two names, and a phone number. I also had a new sense of determination. 
"Thank you for making me get on the gondola, fingers crossed I can make a deal with these guys" 
"If you get it, can you imagine how gorgeous it will be!? Daisy, I'm trying so hard not to be too excited" she jumped up and down as she pulled on my dress making me giggle. We made our way back to the hotel and decided to go out to dinner.
